We saw the entire film on HD and Evadale. Who's fault is it that ya'll had all of the 15 yard flags?

They will still be good, but losing the big man in the middle will hurt them down the road.

I could be wrong but I'm guessing that Mauriceville won considering they were 5-0.

09 will be a good year for the High Island Cardinals. We are losing 5 seniors off of this team, but they are our team leaders without a doubt. On offense we will be returning 6 starters and on defense 7 starters.

We wouldn't expect anything less Bobcat9. It has been a long time for these kids down here to have something to play for come saturday. Every year at this time they are already starting basketball, but now they have a grand opportunity to get into the playoffs. Last night against Colmesneil, I think most of the boys were looking ahead to this upcomming battle. You said if ya'll come put flat, well we had better come out with (but this time keep) the same intnesity that we had against Evadale, or it could be a real long night for the Cards.

Hull is in the playoffs, they are locked. The playoff complications are just between West Hardin and High Island.

Head to head would not come into play because it would be a 3 way tie for 2nd. West Hardin beat High Island by 14. Hull Dasietta beat West Hardin by 31 but only 21 of those points count. That puts West Hardin at a minus 7. High Island is at minus 14 right now, so that means that High Island would have to win by 8. That would put High Island at minus 6 and 1 point better than West Hardin. If that scenario plays out then it would be HD div. 1 and Evadale and High Island would be div 2. Hull and Evadale are already in, this just comes down to West Hardin and HI.

Evadale and HD are in but West Hardin is not as of yet. If the Cardinals can beat HD by 8 then the Cardinals are in and the Oilers are out, if my calculations are correct.

Saturday in High Island is when the game is to be played. The Cardinals were up pretty handily 47-13, then Colmesneil scored three times on the Freshmen and Sophomores. The starters were basically sat in the 3rd quarter. This game against HD is big for High Island. The game actually has playoff implications.

The playoffs start next week for everyone except 23-1A and 23-2A, because they have a first round bye. This allowed these 2 districts to push back their district games one week.

I have a good feeling that Sabine Pass will be getting the win in this one. Although it doesn't count on paper it would be a great boost if the were to win on the field.

Sorry I just saw that Anahuac would only have 1 loss. Then again I would have to say that Buna would be out because they would have lost to Hardin and E.C. ( That is if they lose to E.C.), and the 3 playoff teams would be Anahuac, Hardin, and E.C.

If its anything like our district then it will come down to a points system. This would put the top 4 teams in that district up in the air because that would give them all 2 loses.

If High Island wins this game they will be playing for a spot in the playoffs next week.

TopDawg you must have been watching a different game because Tremaine had like 33 points and Walker had no where near that.

Technically High Islands district record is 2-1 because the Sabine Pass game counts as a forfeit. Their overall record is 3-2.
