High Island will finish the season. We won't get all of our kids back but we will fight with the ones we get back.

The 96 EC-Deweyville game comes to mind. It was like playing in a hurricane.

High Island was missing 2 lineman during the scrimmage. One is out for the year with an acl tear, and the other is being held out after spraining his knee. We will be massive upfront, because the kid playing left guard during the scrimmage is actually our starting tight end.

Actually you are wrong on one of them. The only time that EC has lost to mart has always been in the second round.

For EC it would be either the 95 loss to Rosebud-Lott in area, or the 04 game against Newton. The 95 loss was 34-33 and we missed 3 extra points and a last second field goal. The 04 game against Newton was a great game. Even though Newton had over 300 yards offense the game came down to a 4th down conversion by Newton at the goal line.

Ya'll fail to realize that West Hardin graduates a majority of that team again this year. Also Sabine Pass does also. It could be an interesting race this year in this district.

In '96 the E.C./Deweyville game came down to a missed 2pt. conversion by Deweyville. Ec was #8 in state and Deweyville was # 9 or 10 at the time. It was standing room only with people parking along the fence and pulling lawn chairs up to the outside fence. Rhino remembers that game. It was always fun playing D-Ville because it turned into a pretty good rivalry.

Anderson ran 10.87 in the prelims. Almost all of the finals were slower times.

High Islands beat team ever would be the '79 team that lost in the state finals to Wheeler. I have seen game films of that team and they were loaded with size and had a monster at runningback.

E.C. it would almost have to be the '96 squad. Top 5 in state in defense and ranked number 7 overall. Undefeated regular season and lost in Area to Rosebud-Lott by 1. The 04-05 squad with CJ, Dominique, etc. would have to be the 2nd.
