Brandi Edwards of High Island got 5th in the 800. Miles Loop of High Island got 6th. I want to say congrats to all of the athletes that competed at the regional meet. Good Luck in Austin and bring some gold to SETX.

Kahla from High Island and Drake from Evadale are the 2 best all around players in the district. Everyone knows what drake does, but Kahla pitches and plays shortstop, as well as his natural position on catcher. He is hitting around .600 for the year.

T.J. Kahla from High Island is hands down the best catcher in the district.

High Island was well represented in track. They finished at least 4th or 5th in the district meet and the powerlifters progressed alot from where they were. I'm not saying that we are gonna be district champs but we will definitely be alot better. As for getting the kids out of the halls, these are kids that didn't play for the previous coaching staff. They will only make us better.

The 200 was worse then the 100. Anderson is a beast. I see more gold medals from him at regionals and state.

Coach Ramsey is a good man. He gets all that he can from his kids. In anyother district the would probably be a playoff team.

High Island is about to start 7 on 7. This team next year is gonna be the dark horse. They have alot comming back and are getting the kids in the hall out to play.

Yes Melanie they would hire a suitable coach that would take them as far as he could. You look at most of the high school baseball coaches in Texas and their main sport to coach is football. The only time you get into where there is a baseball first coach is at 4A and 5A schools. at smaller schools its gonna be football first, then their second sport.

Well lets get this right. Koch was the head coach. He had a lot of football experience and some baseball. His teams would go to the playoffs. Mozely comes in with tons of baseball experience and some football, but can't finish no better than 4th in district. You people are blowing this out of proportion. Trust me Valastro is not going to do anything that would hurt the kids chances of winning in a sport.

Last years district race was between EC and Kountze. I believe Kountze won by like 10 points overall.

We were at High Island. They chose 10 kids at random. Talked to test administers and said it was 10 for 1A, 20 for 2A, 35 for 3A, 55 for 4A, and 90 for 5A. The main reason I disagree is for the fact that stuff that you buy over the counter at GNC is illegal. I think that is nonsense.

I played for Coach Sutherland and Asst. Coach Lee at East Chambers. I would not even think about questioning his abilities to coach, who to play, or when to play them. The dumb comment about not learning the offenses because he doesn't get into the games is ridiculous. Thats what you have practices for. If you can't learn the offenses in 5 months of practice, then that just shows that you really don't want to get any PT.
