TopDawg is not from Deweyville. The D-Ville fans have been in ECs corner more than anyone. They have classy fans and I respect that. I gaurantee ya'll one thing, just because Tremain is going to be playing in college next year don't think them Bucs aren't going to be ready to defend their district championship. Trust me the coaching staff at EC is top notch 2nd to none. They will have them ready. EC don't rebuild they reload.

PAT's are very big. In 1996 our kicker missed 3 PAT's and we lost by 1 to Rosebud-Lott. He makes those we go deep that year for sure. That was the year E.C. could have made a serious run at a state title.

Actually I'm the assistant coach. Deweyville does have a legit chance of playing for that 3rd spot. If they stay healthy and eligible.

Deweyville has a good squad. I know I coached against them last night. Bland and Jackson make a difference for that team. They make very few mistakes and rebound extremely well. They should battle Warren for that 3rd playoff spot.

Arick is a sophomore.

Hardin's defense better learn to stop the run, because that is what they are going to see. Run, run , and a little more run.

I would have to say Coaches Andy Evans and Todd East. These are 2 of the finest men you will ever meet. They have showed me exactly what it means to be a coach. Besides just being a coach they taught me that you also have to be a father figure to some, a counselor to some, and most importantly there for all of them. I wanna say Thank You and I hope that I do you proud.

The game will be played in High Island on Saturday afternoon. It's High Island's homecoming. The game will start at 1 p.m.

That game was fun to play in. Standing room only in winnie that night. It poured rain all night. If I'm not mistaken E.C. was #8 in the state and D-Ville was #9. I have some friends that played for D-Ville those years and every once in a while we will bring that game up.

WH-back in tha day, I was the center for East Chambers that year. I was a senior and had started the past 3 years. It was bad. Coach Evans told us that if we broke on a long run to fall down. Who was the coach for West Hardin that year?

Yes East Chambers is a merger. Where the elementary school is, was the Stowell school and where the high school is was Winnie. It was segregated, but I can't recall when the schools were joined.

Seems like the officials this year are on an ego trip. Tons of missed calls, and I love the excuse, " coach I saw the clip or hold but its not my call its the other side judges call." Gotta love it.

With the score being 12-4 it sounds like the umpires really didn't play that big of a roll. That's just my opinion. Come to thing about it ya'll were complaing about the last time High Island beat ya'll. Congrats to the Cards.

Good Luck Coach Morgan and his family. I had the pleasure of watching his talented son perform this year in football and especially track. That is one kid to keep an eye on in the future. Carthage is getting a good man and a good athlete as well.

Why did Gulf Coast get disqualified? If the kid from Van Vleck was 14 shouldn't they have been the ones to be disqualified?

East Chambers will be at H-J. We will be short handed because of baseball, but will be there to compete.

I played against Logan Moore and I must say that the comparison to him may be a little hard to swallow. Not taking anything from Gibson, but I just don't see him being able to run away from guys like Moore did. He might be just as shifty but maybe just not quite as fast.

Trey Lambert at E.C. He should be making his return after the injury he sustained in the Anahuac Tourney.

Who is all going to be there? E.C. will be there with everyone running finally.

Dante Raymond of East Chambers will be a good one. He is about 6'2" 185 lbs and can run like a deer. He will only be a junior next year.

Congrats to Tramain Thomas and Preston Guillory for making all-region and all-state.

I would not say dominate just yet. Anahuac will have some sprinters as well as East Chambers. Kountze will also have a couple of kids that can run. It should be a pretty good district meet, but E.C. starts a new tradition this year.

Way to go Bucs. Keep it up. According to everyone on the site Warren was going to win in a slugfest. It looks like it was a one sided fight.
