Anyone have any results for the EC/Liberty game or for the rest of the tourney?

In 1995 Jeff Barker of E.C. hit a homerun at Deweyville that was still rising as it went over that huge tree that used to be in centerfield. He hit alot of tape measure shots during his playing days. Another one was in Bi-district in Aldine. Cleared the left field power alley like a missle.

Good Luck Kountze. E.C. is pulling for you. Bring home another title and let the state know that 24-2A is the district to beat in every sport, from football to track.

Great season guys. Keep your heads up. You represented your school and town with class the entire year. To the Coaches, Hargraves, Fontenot, and Andrews, great job. We can only look forward to next year and reloading for another run into the playoffs.

Evadale and High Island usually have pretty good baseball teams.

Newton does have a very talented and athletic team. They will give either New Waverly or Onalaska all they want. Good Luck to Coach May and the Newton Eagles. Lets make it a deep run for all 24-2A teams.

With Warren dropping it will make for a lot of good district games. I wouldn't hang my hat on beating the E.C. team that they played. This was when we were without 2 of our starters ( Guillory and McDonald) and we had only 6 real varsity players on that team. Anyways Good Luck and see you next year.

Maybe a little more competitive but when you still have to play E.C. and Kountze in district it isn't that much better of a drop from their previous district.

I think Letsinger is a good one but when Guilory from EC is on there is no one better. Thomas is also very capable but does not shoot that many.

If they keep playing that good they have a great shot.

I would have to say that either E.C. or Kountze will be representing SETX at the state tourney. I am sure that they will at least see each other in the regional finals once again. Good Luck to the 2 teams.

H-J has finally began to play with a lot more team chemistry. They are begining to see that Donahoe doesn't have to do everything by himself. I am taking H-J by 10+.

We have a tough shedule this week. We play at Barbers Hill on Tuesday and have a show down with Kountze on Friday at our place. Get there early if you want a seat. Should be a very good game.

I have had the "unlucky" privilege of getting to see this gifted young man play for the last 2 years and he will make a college coach very happy wherever he goes on to play.

I dont see how anahuac can drop they had well over 100 jr high kids playin football and have 3 full high school teams. If anything they are a small 3a school. I don't think they will raise the numbers in 2a because they are trying to get more 1a schools for football. I think it will be around 400 as they cut off for 2a maybe a little lower. From what I know E.C. turned in 330, Kountze turned in 398. That will probably keep them, Newton, and Hardin in 2a.
