That group that Stan had while there was the group with my little brother.  They lost one game on JV and that was to Barbers Hill's JV.  I coached on the staff then and anyone of those coaches on staff could have won with that group. That was also the last year that EC won the district track meet.  That group was special.  The mile relay went to state, with my brother, CJ, Ase, and Domonique as the anchor.

Evadale does have a great group of coaches.  I know these men personally and can say that they work their butt off for the kids.  And to answer the question, the last district game Evadale lost, was to High Island.

I'm waiting to see Loop in the 300H, considering he really has had no one to push him all year.  I have a feeling he will run 39 today at the qualifiers meet in Kountze.

My opinion is this, they made a commitment to the HS team by participating in the meet.  If they no showed because of "select" then they need to be kicked off the team.  "Select" means paying money to someone just so they can tell your kid that they are the best, and that the HS coaches aren't doing enough to get little "johnny" or "susie" a scholarship.  Little Johnny and Susie might be the worst athletes or even students in the school.

High Island won 15-5 in 6.  Very Sloppy game for HI.

Yes we had a kid finish 2nd in state last year in the 110H.  Our 300 hurdler finished 3rd in the region but would have won 2 different regions.

He ran a 41.8, but that was into about a 10-15 mph wind on the home stretch.  If its good conditions next week he will run a 39.  He ran 40.3 last week with no one pushing him.

James Lupeheke has a HR this year against HD.

High Island is 2-0 in district.  Just to give you a heads up WOS.

I believe he is talking about Coach Curtis Hamilton.  Harper is just the AD.  Although I wouldn't be surprised if Harper takes over the football duties and they let Hamilton go. 

High Island's boys will be there.  The girls are in a softball tourney at Sabine Pass.

Dayton did not put anyone up for the game.  I know this for a fact as I was there when the teams were selected.

High Island had 3 starters suspended and only played with 6 mainly the whole game.  2 kids tried to play but were sick and HI finished with 5 for the whole second half.  Should be a better game the next time.

High Island is in the same boat as these schools.  The rapid decline in student population can also be attributed to Ike, but there is continuous rebuilding on the peninsula.

Playdefense, I have an idea on the person that you speak of.  I happen to know this person very well.  it would be a good hire for Jasper.
