Bobcat, Dempsey's injury isn't to serious I hope. That is a touchy injury, with it being a major organ. I wish him a speedy recovery.

Thanks Yeller. Its always good to get almost all of the boys in high school to come out and play football. We have had a couple of move ins and it brought our number up to 40 players. This will give the guys that wouldn't see the field on friday night a chance to get some game action. We are still working on a couple of guys that need to be out here, but its a start.

Is Gilmore hurt bad or was it a sprain? I saw him on crutches and a walking boot. Just curious because I hate to see players get hurt.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery. What happened to Gilmore? Is it just a sprain or worse? I hate to see injuries, Lord knows I had my fair share while playing.

High Island is scrimmaging Legacy in Beaumont on the 21st starting at 5 p.m.

EC's new gym seems to be comming along on time. I doubt they get in there this year though. I think when it is finished it will rival any gym in this area for sure.

He is going to Kountze as an assistant.

It will be one of the assistants from last year. We have been together for the last 2 years, so its not like we won't know what to expect from the one that leads us this year.

Also I have talked to many of the boys and there will be no drop off just because Coach Colton has left. They are excited about the upcomming year and are ready to take that next step and get into the playoffs.

Yes it is true. Paul Colton resigned on Monday. Doubt they hire this late in the year, considering they have able coaches on staff who could step up and be the Head Man. We wish Paul the best and Good Luck in Kountze.
