1. I can see it now. Nederland vs Central in the reg. qtr. finals in the Montagne Center
 2. That's JY's game plan. Run till they wear their opponent down. Lets go HJ.
 3.

Nederland will play their area round playoff game Friday night against Manor. Game will be played at College Park High School in The Woodlands, TX. Tipoff at 7:30! Nederland won their Bi-district playoff game over Humble 59-51 while Manor defeated Montgomery 64-43. Should be a good matchup. Although Manor finished 4th, they are still pretty good. They were not very competitive until their FB season ended. They lost to district champs Elgin only 10 points. Sounds like a tough district as all 4 of their teams advanced to round 2 with relative ease. Go Dawgs!!
I posted several videos from that district under the forum title "Ozen vs Elgin" and I think its Manor vs Elgin. Manor has some good looking (basketball) athletes.
Good looking athletes don't translate to a 'W'. If that were the case, Ned would not have won 54 games over the past 2 seasons. Any team we play from here on out will be 'more athletic' than us. Doesn't concern me one bit, and i can assure you it doesn't concern the Ned players/team. What DOES concern me is better basketball players on opposing teams. ;)
I just said they looked good...sheez!!! Must be playoff fever  :D
 4. Is the game over already? I figured with Yates' speed it might be over by now. And its only 7:15  ;D
Your legs will feel like rubber before it is over, even though yall ran cross-country  ;D
Sorry Dove- Yates may win by substantial margin, but it will have NOTHING to do with conditioning.  Nothing I would love better than instead of playing the game, we simply sent all of the players from both teams out on a run and see who runs the longest.  Heres a hint for you- It wont be Yates players.
I knew if I kept plugging enough on "cross-country" I'd pull you out of the suntan parlor and respond. ;)
 6.
Does a trip to Regionas out weigh a district championship
Tis better to  taste the sweets of regional play within the mist of the Colorado River than to fly a district banner and lose in area play. For example, nobody identifies Nederland as a regional qualifier last year, only as co- winner from the district.
Your legs will feel like rubber before it is over, even though yall ran cross-country  ;D
Dove, enough of the cross country talk.  You have already confused 2013 with mixing in CC and BBall.  Hawks are fine tuned athletes.  CC talk will just create another thread about off season weight training and if it is good for BBall or not.  With that being said, get the track shoes out.
;)

 9. Yates is a public school that plays national competition. This teams gets a lot of exposure from the national media. pLUS, the kids want to play against the best. To play the best, most kids would have to attend an  expensive east coast prep school. JY is the closest thing in this area to a prep school. That in itself is the drawing card for JY in its present form. The players adhere to the rules. They transfer, play a season of JV if they come from another district.

These days the kashmere gardens area is lucky that Kashmee High School hasn't been closed down.  I hate to say that, but it's true.
HELLO!! EXCUSE ME? I started my career at Kashmere coaching under my father. My dad arrived there from Madison in 1996, and retired in 2007...from 96-07, Kashmere won district 7 out of those 11 years, won 20 or more games EVERY year, made the playoffs EVERY year, and made four regional tourney appearances...SINCE my dad retired...ONE PLAYOFF APPEARANCE in 2013...By the way, when I coached there in 1997-2000, Kashmere was an ACADEMICALLY EXEMPLARY campus...Yes it has really changed since those days, but I was apart of a MAJOR turn around in that program...We actually were #1 in the state in the 1998-1999 season, the year we lost to PA Lincoln in the regional....On another note, I was the freshman coach as a rookie, and my teams went 33-1, 32-0, & 34-0, winning three city championships along the way, before I left to go to Ozen....Just thought I would throw that in there!  ;D ;D
My mind must be fading but when was the Frankie Brazos there? And was Danny Thomas still coaching there when yall got there?
Coach Brazos retired in 1993, and Al Reynolds took over...Danny Thomas left and took a middle school job...
Al Reynolds!!! Ohyeahhh. Now I rememba!!! ;)

 12.
HJ has a chance to win this game. Its very unlikely but we do have a chance. And if we do loose im pretty sure its not gonna be a blow out thats for sure. And if our season is over by 8:45 since you think you know everything about HJ basketball, which you don't!! Who cares!!! HJ had a good season and were a good team.
I never said HJ wasn't good. HJ [s]had[/s]  errrr has a good season presently. Go Hawks!!
 13.
I'm whit Aggie " foul foul foul..make them shoot..  :o
It won't matter. JY will move their JV up anyway.
 14.
And I care why? If we beat Yates Johnson will be back for the next game. Cross-Country has nothing to do with basketball.
I'm sorry, you're 2013 and your HJ season is over by 8:45 p.m. tonight!!!!

 18. [Hidden Content] Georgetown is okay but I don't think they match up well with Central. The clip with Elgin vs Georgetown is a good indicator. Jags just gotta go out and play
 19. I already know the outcome, yall just provide us with the scores and a little game analysis.
 20. Nope, but I have video posted for their district game(s)
 21. We'll have to see (if) what top summer team gets him and maybe get an idea what high school he attends. If he plays for ISTI (sp?) in Houston, maybe he will be a regular student somewhere  ::)
 22.
This is suspicious to me that Nelson being let go comes the same time they are interviewing coaches for the Central job. It is like they decided we like this guy and we like this guy so let's hire them both- one for Central and one for Ozen. Also this does not seem like a Saveat move. I would be shocked if Pat Lambert was not the one behind this. She is supt of secondary schools now and has been known to clash with football coaches.
:-X
