1.
My source tells me that his superintendent is on the legislative council that approved the new ruling.  My source also tells me that his interpretation of the rules was verbally communicated to him by an official of the UIL.  Perhaps my source and his superintendent are incorrect or perhaps the rules are not listed in their entirety.  Thats the only two possibilities I can come up with.
Hmmm, sounds familiar/ typical from another subject matter you use ::)
 2. Actually, its great news for HJ. You could still  lose 9 games and win 3, and you still go to playoffs to play Yates in 1st round ;D Sorry Coach Martel, I couldn't help it.
 3.
Do y'all think this new rule will will change some of our annual tournaments? We will definitely see fewer tournaments. I am curious if it will make for larger tournaments with more guaranteed games.
Then you would need an extra school day use to fit in more games
 4.

dnt know much about colmensniel. they havent been that good in the past...so dont expect much, hope for 3rd in that district theyre in
Heard the 7'1" center, Brandon Cowart, has been playing AAU ball with the Houston Celtics all summer and fall. Supposedly improved waaaaay beyond expectations.
Just ran into the kid walking around with a basketball. yeah he's about a 7 footer. Didn't realize it's the same kid playing with the Celtics.
 5. So, you could potentially have a team with 3 wins and 9 losses in district play to  make the playoffs in 7 team district.  :-\
 6.
Would attend them all but wont be getting off work until about 8.
;)
 7.
I think I will attend the yates game
Why?
 8. Oh ,now I get it. Cut back on tournaments to give the "little johnny" flavored  teams more games by allowing one extra watered down team to make playoffs. :-\
 9.

Aggies Baytown lee schedule is up a couple posts
My bad. Thanks.
And THIS  is your leader!!!!!  :-\
 10.
The new UIL rules that were approved (subject to approval by the commissioner of education) do affect basketball.  Basketball is now limited to two tournaments plus 21 games in a season prior to the playoffs.  They have cut the number of tournaments allowed from 3 to two.  This may cause more teams to enter tournaments like HJ runs to guarantee more games.  These rules will go into affect next season (2013-2014).
WOW!
 11.
Never seen him in person, but I watch every high school All star game, or showcase game on espn, and I can see he is a highly skilled power forward who wants to be a guard.. He is good, but not the best in his class.. That is Parker
;)
 12.
He is pretty darn good, but way too shot happy.. He is quick for 6'9 guy
And as strange as it sounds, i seems like people notice how many points you got, but don't realize how many shot you took to get those points.
 13. Oh here is another scenario I want to bring up: If I'm a coach and I'm looking at the class of 2012 and need  ONE point guard. I have my list, lets say my top 5 guards from this class. I'm going to keep in touch, call, text, invite, etc all five guards, but I really want #1. Guess what? If my #1 verbals to another school and my #2 signs with a school, I'm now going for that #3 guard on my list. You can fill in the other scenarios of this situation ;)
 14.
This is going way back, but one of my best friends in high school ('85 Houston area) had enough letters from college footbal coaches to wallpaper his room, literally.  You name a big school at the time, and he had a letter or letters from them.  He was a decent starting running back on a big 5A team, and was an all greater Houston linebacker.  Problem was he was a classic tweener.  Absolutely great HS player, but a little too small to be a linebacker at a big program and a little too slow to be a safety.  No offers from big D1's.  Plenty of offers from Southland-type programs and the like.  Kid was a Morman, so he went to Brigham Young and did not even try to walk on.  Just moved on with his life. And his story is very common.
Yep!! Very common!!  Enjoy this stuff while you can and have fun with it!!!
 15. Don't take none of this serious until the head coach OFFERS!!! Its good for your ego when all this stuff is happening, but the reality is....... give me an offer!!!
 16. Central will do good this year. Like most teams there are weaknesses.
 17. My little cousin Torry Wilridge should have made this list from this area.
 18. Absent, please tell more about Central's weakness for this year, thank you ;D
 19.
Eddie Owens was incredible at UNLV he is the all time points leader to be exact. Word is though he was one of about 4 absolute beasts on that wheatley team. I still think he should be on the list
Eddie was the lone beast on that team and the the rest were his supporters. And his supporters were almost as good  :D
 20. Stop being lazy. Do the research . We want to know the facts  ;D
 21. Oh oh! DA CATMAN involved
 22.
Fort Bend Hightower Fort Bend Ridge Point Dallas South Oakcliff Perry Walker North Shore Lufkin Wheatley
I hope Perry Walker graduated their players from last year. North Shore will be tough to handle.
 23. I got the complete YMBL listing. One of the Houston coaches provided it.
 24. I'm sure tickets will be sent to Ozen in Nov for purchase. ;)
