Hope so, thats the only time I get to see you and harass you ;D
I should see you at the YMBL.
;)
May even get you on during some of the halftimes. ;)
You were reading my mind as if we are twins. *My brother from another momma* -
I'm interested to see what Blue Dove, Steve Nash, & AAW will say on this topic!!!!! :) :) ;) :) ;) :) ;)
My main man Chris Elam with with my other main man Jordan Holmes a very close second. Even without them, the current Silsbee players beat up on those "babies" from Ozen. Shameful!! I'm hoping Silsbee continues into football after Nov. 27th ;D ;D -

Silsbee as usual will have another good year. -
The way the system is set up now, you have to usually be on a shoe-sponsored team to get the majors to see you.
When you play Silsbee, get ready to play physical. Sometimes they are too aggressive, IMO, but would like to see my Dawgs learn from them. Ned has improved in that area, but sometimes we play too soft. Can't play soft and expect to beat a team like Silsbee.
I almost passed out when a Nederland player was kicked out of the Baytown Sterling game. Man, he is a warrior. Pulled his Jersey up and was ready for battle. Stood his ground too. Lets hope it doesn't rubber off. LOL!
Its for sale. lol English was definately sitting ringside with his note pad. lol
LOL! Oh I was wondering what he was doing over there.
PA Memorial did pretty good. Lost to Silsbee and beat Ozen. Played with a lot of heart in the 2nd game against Ozen. 1st game was rough against Silsbee. Also played without Dorian Chatman in both games, so the team showed it can play some good basketball when they put their minds to it. Oh and the Coach had a good game plan. lol Ask Blue Dove. lol
yeah! yeah!!!! yeah!!!! Just don't share your game plan with Nederland & Central ;D
To be honest devante is a southland or sun belt caliber player. A lot of good players from the area think they are big 12 or SEC ready but they really are not
I'm beginning to see kids who I've seen since the 6th grade or 7th grade positioning themselves for college. Without naming a very well-known player out of the Houston area, he is getting visits from Texas A&M Corpus Chrisiti & Southland Conference type schools. He's visited a couple of Big 12 schools. Here the problem he is now running into. He wants to go play at a Big 12 type of school. He's 6'6" but UT told him he's gotta improve his ball handling skills. Kid has played the post all his career ( a tweener player). Until the head coach offers, can't take none of this for granted. You hear people say "keep grinding" but you gotta know what kind of grinding to do to prepare.
Leave it up to him, Big Sandy are world beaters and the Beaumont teams are trash. He's go to claiming his bail out team, North Shore shortly.
LOL!
I know that there are going to be a few games tonight at the Nederland REC, but No mention of Silsbee/Ozen. Silsbee and PAM will play@4:15.(rematch)
Silsbee /Ozen played at 6:30. Rough /physical game. Some trash talking, elbows thrown, etc. Ozen won by one.

Big Sandy hung in there. Scrappy group of players

I'm sure HJ has other plans for Silsbee.
There has been a friendly, interesting and hot Boys Basketball rivalry between Silsbee and Hardin-Jefferson for a while now. Why does someone who has no interest in either location, or for that matter, no interest in 21-3A Boys Basketball, even give a rip? Why don't you just attend to what's going on at Ozen and Yates? Or by a huge stretch, what's happening at Hamshire- Fannett? ??? 8)
LOL! Chill out, its still basketball and I have deep respect for the programs out there. ;). In fact, Ozen is having a friendly game with Silsbee this evening.
Silsbee needs to win a state championship first, and worry about national recognition later.
No, Silsbee needs to win regionals first ;)
Winning regionals is a tall order these days with Yates in 3A, so you're right. My point was I've seen Silsbee win regional before. I've never seen them win state.
;)
Yes he can, but I know he feels kind of left out that everyone around him is recieving letters and some he is better than are. He will play ball somewhere. Most people dont know this but he is suppose to be a junior, but was moved up a grade in elementary. He is not even 17 yet.
I am pretty close to the program in which Devante plays and have been told personally that he has been spoken with and knows that his recruiting is moving along just fine. He is, in no way, upset about what is or isnt coming in the mail. Coaches have shown up to watch in person. That means much more than letters in the mail. Devante's play will take care of itself and his college future. No need to speculate any further on what is or isn't going on with Devante.
"Pretty close to the program?" Thats an understatement ;D
i had recently heard that he was just 17 and was curious about being a Senior. Often you hear of Seniors being older after having an extra year in the early grades. Good for him and the best of luck on his future in basketball. Don't let him worry about the letters....he will get his chance.
Good point, many people would be surprised to know many of these *hyped* stars are actually older kids playing down with younger players.Kept back for academic reasons, along with late in the *Fall* birthdays are right at two years older than kids in their correct grades. But by high school, it really does not matter anymore. College coaches don't care.
