I was blessed to be back home today and visited the new YMCA located in 3rd Ward near Jack Yates. I saw several games with local high school players who I assumed lived in the area and may attend Yates. If Yates is recruiting, now I see why. LOL!

Well, its that time of the year when college coaches are travelling to open gym sessions, visiting recruits' homes, and other things. Rumor  ::) has it that Lamar University visited open gym at Nederland to look at two of their players...I wonder who they could be?  Hmmm?  8)

Then you would also agree that schools with open enrollment have an advantage too,  as well as Magnet Schools.  If memory serves me correctly, magnet schools were initially brought about to help with integration.

Reminds me of a comment I read from an article this summer by a college coach/recruiter. He and several other coaches were watching the same kids and noted how coaches' had different evaluations on the players.
