The Silsbee Tigers a good local team want to prove they are as good as the big boys. Silsbee had more incentive. This scenario happens in sports all the time. Lamar vs Duke (2000?) At the half, LU was right there with Duke. Duke played LU at a lower intensity level.  When Duke played Kansas (?) the next round, Duke's intensity level was way higher against Kansas than LU.  ;) It happens all the time in sports.  This will be an advantage if Silsbee or HJ make it that far  ;) [/quote] I watched that game too. Galveston Ball did not 'hold back' or 'play down'. It was an intense ge from start to finish. If it had been a 5 game series, Silsbee wins 2 of 5, IMO. Either way, Yates win under 100 points.

The players I know at Yates did not playy for Wise's AAU team.
