Kountze is a great place for him to grow. The only problem with Kountze is that they don't get much exposure because they don't play in 5A or 4A tourneys. If they travel to Dallas, Houston, or Austin to play games it would be great exposure for some of their players. Shoot, Lamar doesn't even know how to recruit in SETX.
Ahh yes! I'm glad you mentioned "exposure". What "exposure" advantage do you have playing at either Silsbee or H-J versus playing at Kountze? From what I can remember, the majority of the players from all 3 schools to earn scholarships in the past have gone the JUCO route. Correct me if I'm wrong. You get your "exposure" on the AAU circuit playing with "elite" teams in the major summer tournaments.
:-X :-X

One of these days, the Yankess arent going to be very good. The Charlotte Bobcats are going to win a game. All of the above will prove just how omniscient I am.
yep, same thing you were saying 3 years ago about HF IN 2012.
I think everyone knows about Jontell, the transfer from Irving McArthur, who had to play JV this season, #20. Unless BADSANTA is speaking of someone entirely different.
aH YES, Johntell from Irving, Tx. Remember him well.

 7.
Chris Will be of age for his senior year! All of you HJ supporters don't try and run this kids name in the street as if he will be 28 in high school. He will be able to play football and basketball with no problem. Also look for a few fresh faces in Silsbee next season! Sorry HJ, you will go 0-2 vs Silsbee.
I agree and feel HJ will go 0-2 in district. The winds of change about to happen ;D
 8.
Yes- either the schedule theory does not apply or the difference in schedules was not nearly as large as previously portrayed even though the theory sounded impressive.
Crossroads again Nash. Maybe next season we will do better with our theories.
Dove, what you are failing to factor into the equation are the schedules
True, I only factored in the rivalry and the intensity in the game between the two. Obviously HJ's weak schedule and Silsbee's stronger schedule were all for *naught* based on our theories. ;)
 10. Lets please remain realistic bullets, no more than 8 pts.
 11. There are loop holes for kids to play pass 19 ;)
How could that be? ANY high school kid gets 8 semesters to play...WE were hit by that rule when one of my teammates that was actually SKIPPED up a grade from 7th to 9th, wanted that year back, but was told he could only be eligible for 8 semesters.
All I know is that the Fitzhenry kid appealed to the UIL and played 5 years. Not sure if it's a varsity rule or not.
May have gotten an exception based on an UIL rule kids use as seniors with academic problems ;)

They are playing JV only because of UIL transfer rules. ;)
Blue uses the phrase UIL transfer rules.  This is also construed as UIL recruiting rules. :D
Yes, I guess you could say that too. But as long as you stay within the rules, its okay ;)
It's my understanding he will not be 19 before Sept. 1st.
I think it has to do with a your age as of the State Tournament or some day in march.  A former HJ player turned 19 a week after the State Tournament a few years ago and he was eligible. 19.
You know is was worried about Yates too,but I feel the tigers will be mad and hungry about not getting to Austin, and losing the way they did, with the same group coming back they know what it takes to win and plus no one is talking about how kingwood park basically had Yates beat and let them off the hook. I think Yates is a great program but still very beatable what ever defense kingwood park used may be a blueprint on how to slow Yates down and maybe beat them, I believe Silsbee will welcome that challenge with no problem, if they get there and get that chance they can beat Yates.
Yates was never in danger of losing. Whenever KP made a run, Yates just pushed the throttle and increased their lead enough to stay out of trouble. Yates missed their 3's and KP hit their 3's.
 20. HJ will be fine as usual. I think they will have more lumps in the coming seasons and years.
 21.
Better watch out for Buna next year  ;) lol jk
I see even you had to laugh at your own joke. 8)
 22.
Don't know about that...Yates' JV could've won 20-4A this year.. ::) ::)....They have two super sophs starting for them this year..They will be good again next season.. Silsbee has a lot of solid returners so they will be able to challenge anyone in 3A as well...It will be very interesting to say the least.
Okay Dickie stop being nice. Lets be open about this. Silsbee cannot compete against Yates 2012-2013 team.

 25.
I say Silsbee, Kountze, and HJ combine schools and make a super program to play those guys from Houston.
::) Dude back on that  sauce again. :(
