1. Funny, I seem to remember seeing a news report during the football season. In the report a stadium was named after one of the coaches. Was it Evadale? Nobody said a word about this.

Was thinking.the samething. All to his right-hand side too.
The coach should have told that on the ball defender that.  One handed dribblers are the easiest to contain.
Give Jamier some credit. He simply did what the defense allowed. Was there a need for him to dribble with his left? NO.....otherwise he would have.....and still drove in for the game winning shot.  :o
Thats the point. The defense played to *his strengths*. Take away a player's strength and make him go to his weaknesses, especially a point guard having to use the full court with only seconds left.

Man must be doing something right if he gets paid like ge does lol. And dont forget, I think twice now the man has either turned down a raise or donated his raise vto charity if I heard right
I would take a regular old field house for WB over amazing facilities anyday.
I for one didn't agree with the way things came about for the "amazing facilities" but I have to agree with the whole concept of it. That stadium was much needed. After attending freshman and jv games at West Brook and at Babes Zaharias I clearly saw this. There is no way that either stadium was "acceptable". There's no way that the support from WB and 5A schools would have held up at their stadium. Babe Zaharias was falling apart and Ozen only has one side of bleachers. So I guess logically it was feasible to continue paying Lamar for use of their facility. On another note, I guess Dr. Thomas is to blame for Stump's wife working for Mobil and having to relocate her office to the Woodlands?
LOL! being blamed for other silly notions; might as well add yours  ;) :D
Obviously being in sports (?) you've heard about the jungle vs zoo animals, or some facsimile to this story. There are players you can take to the jungle and others who act like zoo animals. Zoo animals are dependent upon others to feed them and protect them. Jungle animals live in a world where you hunt or be hunted. I think (today) most players are zoo animals. They usually participate in practice or in sessions with their private trainers. In games, they run team plays. No aggression and playing w/0 instincts and no urgency in their game. They feel they deserve a scholarship & playing time just because they put in time and effort no matter what their potential. Kind of like the zoo animal who expects to be fed. Now on the other-hand, I also feel the court is the jungle. This is where players with the jungle mentality perform. They are aggressive and will fight and scratch when they get a sniff of blood, sweat & tears. They don't care if it's their grandma on the opposing team. They go for the kill. They do not wait passively. They hunt and eat it. Those with the jungle mentality find success because the zoo animals are unable to defend against the mentality and aggressiveness. The jungle animals take it to the opponent. Does everyone want it? Sure! But some are not willing to go the extra mental mile for it and just satisfied being there. Some are just happy not losing by a large margin to good teams ;)
 10. Maybe I missed it but surely there was a large group from WB WISHING oZEN well in the playoffs?
 11. I dunno. Maybe its just me, but the thought of paying my ex-over a million dollars and possibly spending a dime on another man makes my flesh crawl. ;D
 12. I will enjoy visiting Vidor this season and looking at different players for a change. ;)
 13. sISLBEE DOESN'T NEED ANY more speedy guards. They need rebounders. ;)
 14. It's going to depend on who wants it bad enough

Keep doing what your doing and me and my fellow tax payers wil take you down.  Your a joke who spends 6 grand at a conference in new orelans...I never wish ill will on anyone but I have had enough of bisd and it will be hard for you to spin this when its all said and done.
I knew it!!!! The conference in N.O. Someone else made a reference to this in another thread.

I've never really understood "select" at ages 6-12. Kids are still learning fundamentals of the game at this age and can learn it in league play, while they are still growing mentally and physically. IMO, "select", at least what I would consider the top teams (SunDevils, Houston Heat, Kyle Chapman, etc. ) , are suited better for the older players (14-18) who are trying to get a scholarship. I've seen many parents (who mean well ) spend alot of money and burn their kid out at an early age. Just my two cents.
This post is dead on...select at 13-14...you'll still have plenty of $350.00 bats to buy!  >:( ;D
Select  benefits the athlete who is 12 years old with a very high skill level above his age group and really benefits playing older players. If you haven't attended a national level competition, some of you would never understand. ;)
