Is the Eaglin kid playing varsity for Dayton? If so, how does he look?

Yates play in one of the weakest districts in HISD. But a good team

AAW still upset about the LAZEEK &  Da Dove Show from last year.

[/quote]Put it this way, those Hj players can play with any 4 or 5a school in this area. They are well coached. Those kids stay within the game. i watched all three games and Hj and Silsbee has good sound coaches. Two 3a teams that can compete with any 4a or 5a  team in this area. I also had an older daughter to attend Ozen with no transfer problems. But in the long run, it will work out well too  ;)

[/quote]We're not ashamed at all.  We'll be fine.  I just hope our staff will have a better game plan when we face another good team. We've done good.  Had it would have been anyone else, H-J would have probably beaten them by 30+ points.  They're that good. [/quote] Its way too early in the season to be concerned about a loss.  At this point last year, HJ had consecutive losses to Nederland and Central and wound up in the regional tourney.  It matters more to what degree a team improves from this point forward.  Sometimes players (no matter how good they are or supposed to be) must take what the defense gives them.  Its pretty difficult to try to shake and bake your way to a layup against the Hawks.  You also need to have some threats from the outside.  Except for the first couple of threes that Smith attempted, not much fell from the outside for Central.  I also believe that Smith being in foul trouble crippled him to some degree.  Central is extremely athletic and fast.  From my viewpoint, they just need to make better adjustments to what the other team is doing.  In most instances, their athleticism will carry them through, but it wont always be that way. Poor private schools getting hated on too! This school was brought up on a thread recently and some didn't know about the school. By Brent Shirley [email protected] TAPPS is investigating the[color=red] Arlington Grace Prep boys basketball [/color]program for recruiting violations. According to Fort Worth Southwest Christian athletic director Joe Hamstra, he and the other TAPPS 4A District I athletic directors participated in a conference call to discuss potential Grace Prep violations. Scott Smiley, the Fort Worth Christian athletic director and TAPPS district president, said concerns about recruiting violations had been turned over to TAPPS for an official investigation. Smiley said he could not comment on any specific allegations against Grace Prep. Grace Prep won the 4A championship last year with a roster that included four players ranked among the best in the country. This year's team is ranked 15th in ESPN's Powerade Fab 50 national rankings. Grace Prep basketball coach Ray Forsett declined to comment on the situation during a phone interview. Forsett would not confirm or deny an investigation, saying school athletic director Richard Reed would handle any investigation questions. Reed did not return calls. TAPPS officials declined to comment, stating their policy is to release no information until an investigation has been completed. They would not confirm that they are looking into Grace Prep's recruiting. Calls to Faith Christian and Trinity Christian were not returned. Looking for comments?
