Will be interesting Monday night regardless of who wins. HJ beats Nederland...well it's Nederland and they're still playing FB, come on man! If Nederland beats HJ, then some will say...it's a 3A team, come on man!  ::) Rather comical if you ask me!  ;)
Either way, the wrath of this forum will come down on the loser of this great event ;D

It was said that he will make stupid mistakes....NOT!!! This kis is a very smart player. He is also a great shooter!!! He is one to watch!!!
Nah, Devonte will do fine.  [s]His teammates will have to catch up with him. They're not ready for the Magic Johnson passes yet.[/s]    ;D
Sure- teammates dont understand the game         team plays a weak schedule         team looks too "urban" Dove, could you please "elucidate" a little more, please?  That way, I can tell the staff what they need to do to make a better showing.
Hold on, let me find a dictionary and I will get back with you.  ;D

I think it has been shown that there are more than just two good players for Nederland this year. When your best two players struggle and you still win by 20 points, that pretty much sums it up.

coach E better get #21 under control.several wild drives to the basket from half court that resulted in  badly missed shots or a turn over,0 for 7 on 3's(definantly not an outside shooter) & crying to refs about a foul while the other team is scoring at the other end.#40,#11 & #35 are very good players,#10 has to show up to play for 4 quarters.subs came in & played hard.if #21 becomes a better TEAM player instead of trying to be allen iverson nederland will be a very solid team.
Play for 4Quarters? Not sure what game you were watching, but #10 brought the ball up the court the entire time he was in the game, and never threw the ball away. Without him bringing the ball up the court, we might lose that game on TOs and fast break points. Yes, he missed some shots that normally fall for him, but that happens. #21 is probably their best player, and i think he felt he had to do more than usual, and he tried to put everything on his shoulders. Yes, he did miss a lot of 3's, but apparently you haven't seen him or #10 play much. They both normally make a majority of their shots (wherever they are on the floor). Judging these guys by one game is not a fair assessment of their talents.
Agreed. 10 took care of the ball and pushed the floor that led to fast break points. He'll still have to get better against quicker and faster teams for Nederland to be successful.
Okay forum, you're saying way too much. We don't want too many Nederland fans knowing how they will get beaten

Dove- we get told that every year and it has worked out pretty well.  We have been told each year that when we got to Cleveland, we would find out what it meant to play a good team.  I think they found out the same thing, though.
See here is the difference with that situation. Yall didn't believe the hype-Cleveland believed the hype

The point guard did a lot of juking, but never went anywhere. They had some big guys, but none of them could score. Nederland played a 1-2-2, but really squezed the middle since St. Pius put someone running from elbow to elbow. This left their wings open for 3's after one pass. Rarely did they attempt a 3, and didn't make the ones they attempted. St. Pius pressed Nederland, but Nederland was too quick and broke it every time. Ball went to the middle, and they ran the floor. Weisbrod's FG percentage MUST go up.
WEISBROD did not have a good game, no doubt, but he still scored 17 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. He needs to realize that he does not have to do everything on his own. St  Ps point guard is highly ranked in the houston area. He is very quick, but he does not have a good shot.
Highly ranked suburban kid attending a Catholic school. Would not start in a Houston public school
so by this philosophy J'covan Brown wouldn't have been starting going from Kelly to Memorial.
Never considered or heard he had an x-box mentality ;)
Well then how do you know these st pius Players do?
Its a term used for lazy kids ;) Or couch potatoes back in your day

Your son is use to playing against older kids (grade exceptions) for the last 4-5 years. Thats an advantage for him. Do you feel like you are cheating the system, NOW? ;D
 19.
Anyone see the game?  Westbury is pretty good, was wondering how BJ Jones did for them, have watched him play for awhile on the AAU circuit. Normally a beast, if he can keep the tude in check.
BJ is /was playing football. He may have missed the game. Heard JJ his brother is still rehabbing his knee.

I posted those because of the high interest of them across the state. Highly ranked teams facing off against each other to start the season. Just thought it would be interesting to post. Okay bad example.  :D
You know Dove, my mom (RIP Mom) always taught me that if i didn't have anything nice to say, just don't say it at all. Leave Woodville out of this. Just because I'm not a 1%enter, I wasn't invited. Never forgive you :'(
Dove- I was the invitee, not the inviter-  Closest friend had a birthday and we joined them for dinner.  Had it been my birthday (which is just around the corner) you would have been among the first invited.
Oh , so it was a 1%ter meeting ;D
Yea Dove your more than welcome to come with me to any post. I need someone there that is not trying to take all my Union Benenfits, cut my 401, and trying to molest any small boys.
I agree. That post player at HJ is a welcome benefit to the team. I agree, his cut on that 401 play was heartless. Obviously no heart for his fellow players.
