You are correct that the system is geared toward keeping the poor down. Almost to a person they vote Democratic. Ever care to guess why they keep them down with welfare? When you can keep a family living in the same government housing project for 3 generations, you have a built in voting bloc.
If that was true, the Demos would not have to cater to the middle.

I know one particular kid out of the Houston area who was being recruited by a Big 12 school. Had a major knee injury coming into his senior year. I think he missed all of the football season and eventually went to JUCO.
I think this is becoming more popular, and if you excel in basketball I personally think it is the best decision to stay out of football. Don't get me wrong I like football....BUT....I LOVE basketball.
I agree 100%.

I take it you are going back as far as 1st grade with these transfers? ::) Just so I understand you correctly, on average Silsbee has had 12-14 players on varsity the last 10 years. According to you, 6-7 of these were all transfers. So, in the last 10 years, it's safe to say that over 40 players on Silsbee's varsity roster were all tranfers. Is that what you are stating?
Possibly! Especially if keep counting between Kountze and Silsbee ;D
The following are facts about persons defined as "poor" by the Census Bureau, taken from various government reports:Forty-three percent of all poor households actually own their own homes. The average home owned by persons classified as poor by the Census Bureau is a three-bedroom house with one-and-a-half baths, a garage, and a porch or patio. Eighty percent of poor households have air conditioning. By contrast, in 1970, only 36 percent of the entire U.S. population enjoyed air conditioning. Only 6 percent of poor households are overcrowded. More than two-thirds have more than two rooms per person. The average poor American has more living space than the average individual living in Paris, London, Vienna, Athens, and other cities throughout Europe. (These comparisons are to the average citizens in foreign countries, not to those classified as poor.) Nearly three-quarters of poor households own a car; 31 percent own two or more cars. Ninety-seven percent of poor households have a color television; over half own two or more color televisions. Seventy-eight percent have a VCR or DVD player; 62 percent have cable or satellite TV reception. Eighty-nine percent own microwave ovens, more than half have a stereo, and more than a third have an automatic dishwasher [Hidden Content]
Interesting! All the facts on the poor but where is it for the middle class?
 16. Anybody have the middle class stats? Gotta keep you Repubs up on things  ;D

 18.
New Coach, New system, lost 2 players to ozen.  The one big they had last year and is returning, Malveaux, terrible footwork and not a banger that you need in a big man.  He has potential, but i don't see football helping him with his footwork and i doubt he did anything in the summer to improve it.  as far as a banger well your either one or your not and he's not.  Im pulling for HF but i don't see a district championship until maybe year 2 of the coaches system. I believe the last time HF won district (back to back 97-98 and 98-99) and the only times they won district was when DeLord was there.  Sutherland is too good of a coach and silsbee always has the athletes. Good Luck HF.....I ll be supporting you.
HF will do fine. Actually HF has lost at least 4 basketball and 2 football players within the past year.
Nothing on Silsbee's recruiting, hmmm let's see: Silsbee one transfer from Port Arthur,  HJ one recruit from a San Diego camp.  Looks to me like HJ has a much bigger recruiting budget than the Tigers!!
I honestly don't think high school coaches recruit players for their respective teams.  Now, I have had a few kids move because they were not getting any playing time or weren't expected to get any playing time at their old schools. ;)
I thought only government agency action required an EIS.  Are you sure that it extends to private business owners?  I don't think opening a restaurant triggers the National Environmental Protection Act.
You may be right.  My point is that we have gotten so enchanted with environmental concerns/global warming  that there is no more realism and common sense about this stuff.  My guess is that there are hundreds of businesses that might be operating now if it werent for the obstacles one must overcome to get started.  Not to mention the size/cost of those employed by the fed to oversee those things.
What a predicament for our kids! Burn /freeze/ choke to death from the environment or die homeless with no job. Thanks baby-boomers!!!
Burn/freeze/choke to death= H Y P  E R B O L E
And dying homeless isn't?  :'(
