Post any updates throughout football season.
Silsbee lost their potential starting post player till at least the first of January. He injured his knee in the first football scrimmage and will miss all of football season and will not be back till district starts in basketball.
The two previously discussed move-ins (aka the rich keep getting richer) should fill that void nicely, shouldn't they?
The player I am speaking of is the PAM transfer.
Whew! At least yall remain rich
I thought only government agency action required an EIS.  Are you sure that it extends to private business owners?  I don't think opening a restaurant triggers the National Environmental Protection Act.
You may be right.  My point is that we have gotten so enchanted with environmental concerns/global warming  that there is no more realism and common sense about this stuff.  My guess is that there are hundreds of businesses that might be operating now if it werent for the obstacles one must overcome to get started.  Not to mention the size/cost of those employed by the fed to oversee those things.
What a predicament for our kids! Burn /freeze/ choke to death from the environment or die homeless with no job. Thanks baby-boomers!!!
 4. Which really bring up another subject matter but still related to the post.  It may not be as common as this area, but there are many athletes who begin to focus only on one sport once they get into high school. I know one particular kid out of the Houston area who was being recruited by a Big 12 school. Had a major knee injury coming into his senior year. I think he missed all of the football season and eventually went to JUCO.
While sitting here in basketball *rehab* Kelly Basketball bring up some good points. Basketball is truly a team game. A player may not have all the fundamentals but some school systems are able to *hide* the player's weaknesses in that particular system. IMHO, I think this what makes HJ so good. The coaches get the best from their players by playing in a system that suit their style of athletes out there.
Isn't that what coaching is all about?  Finding a system that best suits the players?
Nash, I gave the coaches a compliment. Thats the best I can do for right now ;D
Actually, the coaching has little to do with it.  Has more to do with that continuing streak of luck.
Better you admit to this than me. Thanks for taking the pressure off me I knew it all te time ;D

Just found out we are not coming to the Woodville tourney.... ;D
Well, I just found out that Silsbee will not be playing in the Woodville tourney either. Also, Silsbee will not be playing in the Big Sandy tourney but instead play in the YMBL. They are looking for a replacement for the Woodville tourney.
I wonder why Silsbee would drop the Woodville Tourney and play in the YMBL Tourney instead? ???
Actually, Silsbee is replacing the Big Sandy tourney with the YMBL. They have not settled on a replacement for the Woodville tourney. Local tourneys the same week as the Woodville tourney: Gamble (PAM), East Chambers, and Barbers Hill. I am 100% certain that Silsbee will not play in the Barbers Hill tourney, pretty sure they will not play in East Chambers. Most likely the James Gamble or a tourney in the Houston area that Silsbee will replace the Woodville tourney.
Oh I see, Silsbee think they too good to play against the smaller schools, huh? ;D
Personally, I am glad they are back in the YMBL. With them playing in the Nederland tourney, that's two very good tourneys on their schedule, most likely the smallest school in those tourneys, literally and figuratively. I wouldn't mind seeing them play in the East Chambers tourney to fill out their tourney schedule.
This guy will not answer my *real*question. ::)

 16. Aren't most of the schedules finalized by now? I understand maybe a weekend here or there may need to get filled.
 17. From what I am hearing, Jeremy Johnson will be starting b4 the season is over. Heard he looked a little rusty throwing the ball.
Speaking of da Dove,    what was your opinion of the kids that played at The Gym Sunday?  I really enjoyed watching your son, just wished they would have played a few more games.
I enjoyed watching the kids play because its the only time they play with no pressure from coaches and refs. Its also good to see more kids from S.E. Texas taking advantage by participating in open events like this. S.E. Texas can expect to see and hear from new young talent coming up. Your son and my older son played well together in the 2014 class. Lack of height kept them from the championship. It also gives us a good glimpse of who will be some of the top players in their graduating class.
 23. Lol! CATMAN, keep an eye out for Yates freshman guard (2015), JOJO Anderson. His game reminds you of LJ Rose, who just verbally committed to Baylor.
 24. Good points PNG. WHEn I get to NY home computer or hotel 's computer, I want to respond to a couple of things. I hate using NY phone.
