I wont know until after the summer ;)
Who is your Freshman over there about 6'4" and played varsity this year. I'm hearing rumors he wants to play with the big boys this summer 8)

Do they have much coming back?
the freshman guard will be back. got a couple of Jrs coming back but i dont expect much next season from what was told to me. (meaning playoffs yet again but no deep run)
What happened to all of the PA talent that use to dominate SETX year after year after year? (and don't say they transferred to Nederland.) I miss the days of The Lincoln Bumblebees!  :-\
Them days of bumblebees pride is gone, but IF the 6'8 football/basketball player comes back i think the team can surprise some people.
What a shame... do the kids and has-beens still mix it up at the rec on 9th ave, YMCA and open gyms?? PA was one of the few places where a pick-up game at an open gym might be as good or better than some elite AAU tournaments.
dEM DAYS GONE. You have to go to Edison School during the summer to find a pick up game with a bunch of wannabBees ;D
 3.
No really. HJ should go undefeated next year in district. Prudhomme district MVP. Its Silsbee turn to "rebuild"
OH wait, I thought Prudomme was a senior?
 4.
I predict Silsbee and HJ will fill up the gym again a couple of times and play again at Huntsville for a state berth. The Hawks in another down year will probably win 30 again LOL.
I'm going To make a bold prediction here: If my bro-n-law was offered the job at HF, HJ will not beat HF, PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To be fair, that does not include coaching stipends. I also did not look north of Beaumont.  For someone who wants a head job bad enough, money may not be an issue.   Food for thought.......
LOL!I'm taking the 5th!!!!!!!!!! Uh, a local car salesman along with AAU monies will surely compensate. ;) ;D
6.
Heck, that eliminates most of the fun.  All thats left is basketball and recruiting high school players.
And he 's African-American 8)

 8.
WOW!!!! I would give anything to have gotten to play in the state tournament! If this story is true then this young man just passed up on his real senior trip that he'll never get another shot at.
Obviously the family wasn't that interested.
 9.
Three way race for first next year. Ned will be young but Coach E is great and not to mention the talent level just keeps getting better. Ozen for the simple fact that they are Ozen. But IMO Central pulls out district those young players got a lot of experience under there belt and made a deep push in playoffs. I hope I'm wrong but will not be surprised if my Dogs pull it off again!
Thats a good point. Central coach made a wise move and made the adjustments (where is BmtSoulja) and probably saved his job by bringing up the underclassmen.

You think I'm gonna lost sleep over what you post on a message board. Heck, you stated you knew for a month that Roc was gone yet the AD Larry Tidwell stated he didn't make up his mind until Sunday night! Is he a liar? You've been hit and miss on the things you state are going to happen with the Lamar University athletic programs. I'll give you the Jeremy Johnson deal but you were wrong about scheduling TCU. Then you stated we are headed for the WAC. A lot will have to change between now and April 1st for that to happen.
I was right about Johnson...........and I never said TCU and LU would be playing.  I said I would love it and that I would be there, and that there was a connection with Tidwell and Tubbs at TCU, but never said it would happen.  So keep searching for something I have been wrong on. As far as the WAC......just a matter of time my little buddy!!!! ;) ;)  And then you will start calling me the "YOUR SOURCE FOR LU"!!! 8) 8)
Make him call you 'Mr. Your Source......."  ;)
 13.
Dear Coaches, You could be getting an even better deal.  If you don't run the program the way that the parents see fit it could lead to you having extra time on your hands for your skills to improve on coaching football and track.   ;D
Too bad you feel this way. I think most of the HF parents expressed what was happening during the season. To my knowledge, no one went to the school board complaining about releasing the former coach. I personally heard the griping from last season and I didn't want to think it was the coach's fault. I was against the parents at first. I'm old school and I was raised to believe in the coaches. It just got to a point where I could not believe what I was seeing from that team. It was horrible. And obviously the administration felt a change was needed. The decision wasn't made overnight. We should have beaten Orangefield like a drum  :P
 14.
In the paperwork that has to be done by coaches each year, Steriods Form, PAPF, Physical Form 2 times, they are going to have to add that the child have to receive an EKG.  It will cost alot of money, and with the economic crunch that everyone is in I dont see it being a requirement of the State, but it is something that players need to have.  But, you never know in life, someone could just be out for a jog or stressed at work and have a heart problem they dont know and it will eventually hurt or kill them.  Thank God for every day, He said it was like a vapor. My prayers are with the family.
There is another test beyond the EKG that may be needed. One of my sons just had it. Happy to hear everything looked normal, whew!
 15. Dear Coaches: The HF job may be better than some realize. You would be taking over a program without a winning season for several years. Make the playoffs for several years and you will be considered a basketball guru. You would be writing your own ticket for your future ;)
 16.
Coach West is the head coach at Anahuac.
Oh okay.
 17.
If they're smart they would go after Clay Davis or Ben West ;)
I'm curious. I don't know Ben West or most of the names being mentioned on the site. But, what would Ben West bring to Hamshire Fannett basketball?

They went to Nederland school systems.. Get over it
awww cmon im joking. love to rag on the dogs since they doing good in bball.  :D :D :D I used to rag on Central and Ozen sometimes, until the UIL banned them from even stepping a foot in Austin again in the month of March :o :o :o  :D :D :D
:D :D
 21.
I've taken note of what Matt Cross has done in Port Arthur too, but he needs a couple of years on the bench as an assistant for a lower level D1 program.  Jumping from Lamar-Port Arthur to the HC job at Lamar Univ in Beaumont could set him up for failure rather quickly.
How much "lower level" can ypu get than Lamar as the program currently exists?   Matt Cross needs to be given a really good look.
:D :D
Not gonna happen........HJ is done with talent.  Rebuilding for a few years!!!
You forgot to put the  ::) ::) behind your statement  ::) ::) :D
