2.
THE HORNS ARE STILL not playing transition ball,Just seems like we are not very well prepared for a quick team alot of standing around like we are watching TV, you have contest every shot get that rebound that you are not suppose to get. When we rebound you have two to three players with their hand out for the ball, our first pass off of a defensive rebound is backwards, the guards need to be getting out on the wings pushing the ball up the court always wanting to attack instead of letting the defense set up,you can push it up and can always bring it back out if nothing is there. As a COACH , you just cant be satisfied with playing from a set offense with no movement.JUST my two cents.
100% in agreement. Also, not sure if the guys are in shape or just lack of heart. A lot of standing around from all areas of the game.
 3. How does Westbrook look for next year? Strengths and weaknesses?
 4.

That was the problem
WRONG!! The problem was they met up with a Silsbee Tiger team that is hitting there stride. Hope we stride a long way.
I WAS agreeing with BADSANTA ;)
 5.

WOW! HF really took a Anderson Silva kick to the behind in this game! What happen to that team that played Silsbee so close the last time?
That same HF team showed up, it was just a much different Silsbee team this time around. ;) ;D
We had yall after the 1st quarter.
 6. Okay, I think we can take HJ now after that butt kicking ;D
 7.
Tigers by 30+.
Only if we slow the ball down and let yall press and trap us off your missed shots :P
 8.
IF the horns play a 6 to 7 man rotation the game will be interesting, with good defense included.
They could get by with an 8 man rotation, especially against Silsbee. And we should definitely beat HJ if he would use that rotation;) ;D :o ;D
 9.
This game will be close for about 5 minutes then Silsbee will turn on the heat!
Dang! Only 5 minutes? At least give it 7 minutes. Oh wait a minute you're right. Thats about the time he starts to take out the starters ;D
 10.
Sorry Dove.......Silsbee rolls tonight!!!!  Although I am pulling for the Horns!!! ;) ;) ;)
yEAH i KNOW. Nothing wrong with dreaming I guess 8)

They want to show that last game with HF was bit of a fluke. I see Silsbee winning by 25+.
Fluke? Silsbee came in with no purpose the first game. Kinda like how Galveston Ball came to play Silsbee that night ;)
The difference in that comparison is Galveston Ball does not beat Silsbee without their head coach, second best player and key reserve not there. Where as Silsbee did just that against the Longhorns in HF. ;)
Oh pkay, so on the "sly" you're saying 'your boy" Richards can't pull them thru this tornado thats about to hit them tonight? Hmmm?
 12.
Another good example of Silsbee being more focused was the game this past Saturday with WOS. The first time, Silsbee beat WOS in Silsbee by only 9 points. The next time (Saturday at WOS) the Tigers jumped out to a 17-4 lead and never looked back on their way to a 73-46 win. This also was Coach Travis Williams first game back. The players seem to be much more focused now and I look for better play from this team from here on out. Silsbee will also get one of their key reserves back this Friday which will help them greatly down the stretch. Another key fact in tonight's game, Prentice Lane will play. He did not play against HF the last time, nursing an injury. Prentice is playing very well of late and I see another great game from him tonight.
:P
 13.
Tyrone thats why Big Stu is "part time" now so he can concentrate on recruiting ;)
Recruit? All you have is from Trinity River to West Liberty County. Maybe 75 total miles in all four directions :D
Why? IF HF cut down on errors, control the boards on both ends, hustle on defense, intelligent substitutions, push the ball up the floor  instead of walking into their press; they have a good chance of making a good statement tonight.
HF already had their statement game against Silsbee.  I think Silsbee comes back and makes a statement of their own tonight.  I'm gonna say Silsbee wins big, 80-44.  And yes, I'll gladly come and eat some crow if i'm badly wrong.
Thats what I'm saying. Silsbee has a statement to make tonite. Now they have something to play for..bad combination when this happens.
When Silsbee played HJ the first time, it was a party atmosphere.  Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with that, for the players were loose and not uptight before the game. But when they came to HJ, they were much more focused.... none of the pre-game antics like the first game.  I think tonight you're going to see that same focused team intending to put HF away early.
I saw Silsbee at HF with "party atmosphere"  @ 1st game. But I hope HF bust a few balloons tonite ;)
 17.
Bluedove this is my prediction. What's yours?
All my predictions usually come true. So I will remain quiet. Well okay, I think Silsbee wants to send a message out tonight that HF doesn't belong in the same gym with them. For HF to win, they gotta go dedicate a 100% hustle, smart play and tough mental focus to the game (discipline and maturity). Once HF gets down and frustrated the game is over. Silsbee wins.

Get in a good PROGRAM and reach ones potential. Hate to see kids that get really good out of h.s. and it happens all the time!!!!!!! It's too late to matter, adult leagues are full of what could have beens...........
true

Basketball is a funny game. I've known some great players who were supposely destined to go to the NBA. And I've known a small few who made it and no one ever expected them to go that far. Some of these high school kids are good at the level they are playing and will not advance much farther. The thing with 3-A schools is that the level of competition isn't all what it is talked up to be ( I'll probably get some flack). Jarvis is going to have to play against some top quality players or some good exposure camps during the summer months to get any notice from the big D-1 schools. Which is where most of these kids are trying to play ball
I think Aaron Rodgers of the Superbowl Champ Packers is a prime example of someone who DID NOT play with the 'big boys" and still became a great quarterback despite being undersized, despite playing at Butte Community College for two years because nobody "knew about him'.  Doesnt look as though being from a relatively small Oregon HIgh School hurt his chances much even though he didnt compete with the big boys from LA or Chicago or New York.  Until Mr. Rodgers transferred to Cal for his last two years, he didnt have the benefit of "the better competition".  I therefore assume, that there are some other qualities possessed by Mr. Rogers that enabled him to get where he is right now.
Basketball is a unique sport. You gotta be able to do 3,4,5 things all at one time. But football, well thats another story ;D
Believe me, I am NOT a football fan, but am pretty sure that Mr. Rogers has as many things to do at once as any point guard does.
yep he does NOW!
