1. Very good review. I'm just happy to see some things are being said in public. I'm sure many will agree that the forum may not be the proper channels to discuss such issues. I disagree. I believe in the court of public opinion. Put it out there and you decide for yourself. HF has one of the biggest teams in 3-A for this area. Someone told me last night at the Silsbee game (whom I shall keep him nameless from Silsbee who is also  the ........ah sorry. Getting carried away) that we have to have patience. Five plus years is a long time to wait with no accountability.
 2.
The Tigers have only lost 2 games. The other was to Ozen. A game that we didn't play well in.
Silsbee has a very good team. Obviously the team is like a lot of other teams. Many play up to their competition AND play down at times.
Ah, heres a person that knows basketball. I'll find me a match to stop a spot up shooter in high school basketball anyday. Getting Nash started up again ;)
I am here and ready to start.  I would disagree with you because "some people" forget that basketball is a team game where all five players have a role (at least for the better teams) in making things happen.  Some defender might be capable of stopping a spot up shooter one on one, but a decent coach will get that shooter shots regardless of how good the particular defender is.   It really isnt that difficult to force "that defender" to cover someone else via screen/multiple screens.  Additionally, any spot up shooter who is going to be "shut down" by the defender will have that defender in his face.  Even the slowest of the slow that has any kind of basketball intellect has a response to that type of defensive effort.    If that defender holds his spot up shooting opponent to no shots taken or very few taken, the spot up shooter has simply provided some of his teammates with additional opportunities they might otherwise not have had.
I knew you would come out sooner. But you make valid points. Lets just hope the "other teammates can score.
IF none of the teammates can score, then your "team" has little chance.
Give me a true point guard with the ability to score (shoot & drive), pass the ball, he'lll make his weaker teammates look good ;)
 4.
Tigers great game! Keep playing like this and let's get that free throw % around 75% for the team. Missing 14 ft hurts. Hit 3 more and its our game. Way to play. Galveston Ball coach Jerald Temple is a prime D. bag for thinking you were going to beat Silsbee by 20. Get real dude.
You lost!!!! Don't matter the score. I like Jerald Temple's cockiness.
Saw everyone come in except for Rhone.
Good...still using our depth...and good experience.  Not sure why Rhone wouldn't play though.
Not sure either. Seemed we lost alot when X. Harris was not in the game, he played a really good game when he was in. Their guard penetrating was the difference in the game and having Harris in limiited his drives into the lane. Was a great game and the Tigers greatly surpassed my expectations. I was expecting a 10-15 point loss. Playing a team like Ball as close as they did should give the boys a lot of confidence come playoff time.
Thank you! The guard
 6.
BlueDove3 it was Silsbee missing 14 free throws is what made the difference. Both teams played their tails off. Way to play Tigers!
Okay, I'll comeback to you and say this: Ball had the toughest schedule to get to the championship. The best team definitely won. Ball played like they knew they were the better team and the lack of effort/focus showed. Silsbee had nothing to lose and played like it. The heart of a true champion shows in the 4th quarter. Both teams are good. Silsbee is very good. I just can't imagine HJ beating Silsbee for district. Hasn't HJ beaten Silsbee once this season? But anyway, you don't need to find reasons to show that Silsbee is equal to Ball, because they are not. Ball is a very good team. I told you they would win and the guard (s) for Ball came up with the key plays in the 4th qtr. Silsbee is very good too!
 7. As I predicted,  the guards for Ball made the difference.
 8.
BlueDove3 I know your a Silsbee Tiger player hater, but what do you think the score will be tonight?
I don't dislike Silsbee. You just gotta know who the big dogs are when you go to war. ;)
 9. The guard play baby! YOU heard it first from me. Silsbee running into big ballers tonite. SILSBEE guards will have their hands full.
 10.
So is HF in Championship against Vidor???
:P
 11. Oh okay, you wanna hit a brother below the belt. Y'all have no mercy on this forum.
 12. Pettaway! The guards are better @ Ball.
 13. I don't care about Ball winning State. Ball vs Silsbee....... Ball WILL WIN! TOTALLY different league. Plain and simple.
 14. Ball scored in the 80's. No way was it slow paced. I saw the 2nd half. Maybe the 1st half was slow.
 15.
Congrats to my Tigers on the solid win. Silsbee now 11-1 on the season. Can't wait to broadcast the final between Ball and Silsbee!!!!
As much as I think Silsbee is a good team within the 3-A circuit, there is NO WAY they can hang with Ball High.  If Silsbee beats Ball High, I'll become a contributing member to SETexSports. Thats a promise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 17.
So, how big is Brooks front line?
Small for a 5-A school.
 18.
Silsbee will upset Ball tomorrow night.
No way possible.
 19.
Thats right Evadale has not got a strong point guard, and thats like having a car but no motor.. Any team that is going to put pressure on them will make it hard to get the ball in the front court. This is a full court game and if your point just playes good Def. your not going to win many big games. They will blow thru their dist. but that not what this group of players have work for their intire life. They have ever expection of going deep in the playoffs, and unless they start getting better guard play that aint going to happen. #3 does shoot a pretty 3ball from a set shot but if you cant get him the ball that aint happen. They beat Bullard by 10 tonight but should have beat them by 20 or more. I stoped counting the tourovers at 20, you cant beat good teams with that many.
You definitely say what you feel, don't you! :D
 20. I was impressed with Silbee's athleticism and hustle. Aggressive man defense and all around hustle.
And you will see those same "prima donnas" playing at the next level at somebody's school. Playing to get ready for the summer on a whole  [glow=red,2,300]nother[/glow] level you are not use to. "Deal with it!!!
 22.
Brook had 5 on the bench at the YMBL
Out of 2500 plus students? Hard to imagine.
 23.
Before the game: El Jalapeño in Sour Lake has some good Tex-Mex.  Seriously.  I miss it.  Charra beans better than Pappasito's.  The pizza place a few blocks west on 105 was pretty good, too.  There was a new soul food place, Mother's, in downtown Sour Lake, near El Jalapeño-- they had good food, but I don't know if they're still in business. After the game in Sour Lake: DQ.  There's been a Sonic rumored to be in the works for at least the last five years, but DQ's still got the monopoly on fast food in Sour Lake, far as I know. Of course, Big Rich's gumbo, served every year at the HJ Tournament, is Sour Lake's culinary ne plus ultra. Bon appètit, basketball peeps!
I'm assuming downtown is where the one bank is located in Sour Lake, right?
