Maybe Bluedove can help me out with this 1 ;D ;D ;D
There you go pulling me into this trap ;D Bosha knows what happens when Lil Dove (2014) is holding him straight up man to man. :o
Lil Dove or Littlest Dove (2015) can't handle Bosha. Let me see, 6'3 and growing vs 5'5 and 5'6. I suggest you stop it before i stop it!! ;D ;D ;D
Whats been the history when they meet and play each other...hmmm? And I won't get into games in Houston....hmmmm I've seen games you have no idea what happened ;) -

Had you been there, you would have saw that the majority of Silsbee's turnovers resulted in dead balls. Traveling violations, passes that went out of bounds, and players stepping out of bounds, turned the ball over to Ozen. Ozen may have had 10 fast breaks last night total. ::) right back at you. ;) ;D
So is Silsbee championship quality this season?
Oh okay, they will be alright. District and Regional, not so sure about state.
Yes, he has scored in double digits in all 4 games including games against Kountze, Nederland, Central and Anahuac....all quality opponents and three of four being on the road. I think in the long term he will be very solid.
Was the Bosha kid one of the players who was going to be part of "the 4 year plan"?
Yes, After Bosha is done, its gonna be awhile before you get another player from across the tracks. Only player thats left will be Trevion Benard and maybe that 6yr old that Davis coached against Monday Night. Its ashame he didn't draft him because of personal reasons ;D ;D ;D
Bosha's class is not winning district in 2014 ;D -

I saw a lot of spirit in the HF varsity last night. I think you guys made some positive steps last night. You do have the potential fellas. Keep working! Saw a lot of positives in your play. I would like to think you were playing hard because you wanted to show me differently ;) Yeah, I saw the evil stares on your faces when I saw BS (B.L.) and the posse sitting there. But it's cool. I'll talk about yall some more if it will light a fire for the rest of the season. ;)

Notice I didn't say faster.
well...the LCM vs HF game was exciting! I must say for several minutes I saw the HF line up that had HF umake up a 10-1 deficit initially. The line up consisted of # 3,13,10,23,00! I would like to have seen #35 in that line up. That was an awesome line up that worked. Why we did not see that consistently throughout the game....I don't know? Once that line up was no more...HF lost their 2pt deficit. The final score was 60....44 . HF loses. I saw the FIRE back in #13! Coach the sophomores, #10 and #35 added SO MUCH to the team. The whole tempo of the game was different when they were in. Wish we could see them both in together! The best line up for starters....#13, 35,10,23,& 00! Good hustle tonight HF!
ok i'll be the first to say it, and i'm sure someone will be offended, but that's just a little too much analysis for the forum. i've followed this thread for a few days, and i understand your concerns and frustrations because i've shared them myself (especially last year), but the whole premise of "give credit where it's due" is blown out of the water if you don't give the guy in charge a little breathing room to experiment with different combo's without being shredded for it, even if tongue in cheek. he's being progressive and now you want to make the lineup for him. the season is still young and while you'd like to get some w's it's also important this time of year to figure out what does and doesn't work, and while you MAY have the attention of someone, a good way to lose it is to get an inch and take a mile. if you want to make those kind of specific suggestions why not do it privately via email, you almost assure that it won't happen by posting it "out here". just my opinion.
Do you really realize what you just said? 'Breathing room to EXPERIMENT....." Think about it!

True comedians... ::) ::)
Look, I'll admit I never like bringing the refs into play, it's really not the reason for any loss, I usually discourage that kind of talk. BUT, the way the 2nd half of this game was called, it was just too hard to ignore completely. I have seen enough basketball in my lifetime to make a fair and honest assesment. The 2nd half of this game was officiated very poorly.
::) There is an old and tried successful remedy for refs making "bad calls." Make your shots!

More Silsbee fans in attendance tonight than Ozen, maybe we need a 7,000 seat basketball arena. ;)
Goes to show you how important a PG is to your team.

JV squad looked very good. Play well together. Freshman team lost by 2 points, but our injured player would have definitely helped us tonite.

How Does The Future Look For HJ Basketball?

He needs a new challenge in district play. :D
Do you have any idea how many times "Sutherland has had his work cut out for him"?
That's a myth (even though Sutherland and his coaching staff do work hard). HJ has had as much talent at the 3A level as anyone has in this area. They have basketball players, contrary to what some might think.
My point was NOT whether or not they had basketball players but rather how many times somebody has said "well, they were good last year, but its not looking so bright this year". HJ has never been blessed with a lot of athleticism but they compensate for that with some very good basketball intellect developed over the years by a good little dribblers program and a competent high school staff that recognizes how to deal with the "short on athletes but long on understanding the game" issues.
In all seriousness Stevie, I agree with your comments 100%. It does prove you don't need athleticism to have a good team. You guys obviously have a good system for the kids to thrive in while at HJ. I've never seen HJ play but somebody over there have those kids believing in the system. Plus, Sutherland has an ear to his middle school program.
