I didn't know Sour Lake had a bank.
Let me understand this, Blue.  You stated that you watched a youtube video about a bank robbery in Sour Lake and then immediately said that you did not know there was a bank in Sour Lake.  Hmmm, interesting.  How many banks are in Fannett?
yEP, not sure when your bank robbery happened. Maybe 5 years ago or whatever. But I'm sure your town newspaper is still reporting the event as newsworthy even after all this time.
Tonight, the Silsbee Tigers play host to the Hamshire-Fannett Longhorns at Tiger Stadium in Silsbee in the last regular season game of the year. Silsbee (5-4, 2-2) needs a win tonight to advance to the playoffs where as Hamshire-Fannett (1-8, 0-4) is just regulated to the spoiler position. The Tigers took it on the chin last week, losing to WOS, 36-8, while the Longhorns lost for the 8th consecutive week, losing to Bridge City 56-19. It's Senior Night at Tiger Stadium and Silsbee wants to send the seniors to the playoffs on a winning note. HF would love to get a win to end their season on a positive note. Silsbee leads the all-time series with HF, 3-1, winning last year's game 54-7. Broadcast time will be 7pm with kickoff to follow at 7:30. Mike Sanchez and Tim Scoggins will bring you all the action right here LIVE on SETXsports. Just click the link to listen to another Silsbee Tiger broadcast here on the SETXsports network. HF @ SILSBEE, LIVE, 7pm here on SETXsports.com!!! [Hidden Content]
Man you are rough. Why did you have to say 8 game losing streak? You could have substituted words. HF has  had  a little trouble getting into gear the last few games.Every team wants to end on a postive note. And you could have said, Silsbee leads the all-time series by only two games, and winning last years 's game by a competitive margin.  ;)

Naw, Mavin is probably 6"6"
Perhaps the 2012 prediction will take place this year?
:-X I've said too much already. Keep talking smack and I'll see if there is more room in Fannett for another transfer. 8)
Oh no! Hopefully the reception will be weak coming thru Fannett. :D
Fannett?  Isnt that the home of the 2012 3-a champs?  Isnt that the home of the team who is going to turn the district upside down in 2010-2011 with their foreign exchange student.  Do tell, Dove.
Okay Nash, I'll bite. What foreign exchange student are you referring to? You must mean the recent addition to the line-up. The 6'8" 230 pound post from the Bahamas. Actually, he played in Houston and needed some fresh air to breathe.
Good players may not need h.s. basketball to get noticed, but they need it to learn how to play in a structured offense and defense. Its called a program. AAU forms bad habits. Nothing like kids going half speed in an AAU game and then trying to turn it up once they reach the semi-finals of a tournament and then see them start pointing fingers. Good High School coaches dont allow kids to go through the motions. Players need both the h.s and AAU setting to be at their best in my opinion. The AAU system offers great competition and  exposure for the next level ,while the h.s. setting offers coaching, structure, and more responsibility, with having to manage grades, practice, and teamwork. Accountability!!AAU is more of a hey look at me, instead of hey look at us! Example is Duke. Not the best players last year, but the best team. Those kids played AAu , but came from great H.S. programs! And finally, I understand there are Ex. Pros sometimes involved in these AAU programs. But involved means supporting financially mainly, some of those guys are trying to stay close to the game, not actually coaching. Heck thats too much work!!!
Hmmm? Ron Courtney was my son's summer coach, from Fort Bend Bush (ISD). Kind of knocks on your theory here.  ;)
 11. Al Woods- College Recruiting Service "AAU basketball is more powerful than high school basketball just ask the players who play."

 14.
WOS will finish 3rd.
I have to agree. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to predict how the chips will fall for the top three teams in this district.
i just really don't think we're gonna be able to stay focused this year. i go to school with all these kids and they just don't have what it takes to repeat. just tryin to be real
I'm just curious as to what you mean by the "focus" comment. Classroom or remaining focus during a long season, too cocky?
I think he is saying players don't have basketball as their top priority. Don't agree with him at all but we shall see... And I dont call them cocky I call them confident.
I wasn't saying they were cocky. It was a question as to why he was saying what he said  ;)

Still think coach wise will be reloading not rebuilding. Also can't wait to see Ball in the nederland tourney. Hope we play them. Should be a good test to see how good we are.
Silsbee is in the Nederland tourney as well. I'll be there broadcasting some of those tournament games.
??? :-X :-X

I guess AD didn't make the changes in his game to make it to the NBA. Yes, I thought he had NBA potential but he had a lot of work to do to make himself NBA ready. Work on his perimeter game, shooting with range, playing defense and hitting the weights heavy.
So what made you think he was NBA potential if you listed some of the most important attributes it takes to go to the next level.
Something you can't coach and that is scoring. If you could everyone would be "scorers". AD was a scorer at the college level but he wasn't a good shooter with range. 6'6 is tall for the SLC but not in the NBA and 190lbs isn't a NBA body.
Gotcha! I know I watched Daniels play because the name sounds familiar, but can't remember his game.
