[/quote]Old post but I couldn't resist: LU could not win in Sunbelt and it was costing too much while losing. They thought they could live in the past (like many of you) and re-create the 1980's all over in the SLC. Times have changed-get over it!

Lamar failed to qualify for the tourney. [/quote]oh thats worse. WOW!

I just happen to run across your post and realized we played the 8th graders. Right now, your 8th graders really aren't ready for HF's team. Maybe by high school. Seriously, it looks like Silsbee, HF, and WO-S will be the powerhouses coming in the next 2 years.

Since high school basketball season is over  :'( for a lot of our kids, I'm sure there will be many of our senior ballers who aren't getting the scholarships after their senior season is over. I do know there are some players in the past who were being told they were better than what they really were (HJ AHEM!). Anyway, this is the time to get these kids to attend the unsigned senior games and get exposed to college scouts from JUCO, D1,11,3, ETC. There is one coming up in Belton, Tx and one in Houston. I think it's a great opp to get your name out there. If you don't have that D1 schoalrship from Texas or Oklahoma by now,  it probably ain't coming. Look for other avenues.

2010 game between WOS 7TH grade and HFth grade. Double overtime. As soon as you thought one team had the win, the other would come back from 5-7 points with 45 seconds to tie it up. Had the atmosphere of a State title high school game.

Obviously Fairfield was better than reported :D I told yall those pple love their basketball and take it seriously.

I can only speak from a basketball point of view. You have to look at the program and see what kind of commitment there is towards the program. Do the coaches offer open gym during the summer? Is there a commitment from players to get better by working and playing against good competition? Does the style of play fit the talent of the players? Can the coach make adjustments during the game to win? Just a few questions..........
