Too many of you guys are use to biddyball and have a biddyball mentality when it comes to jack Yates' sports. The team is definitely an elite team packaged with deep talent. Their program is not packaged to defeat their district opponents. Much higher goals biddyball dads. Higher than State. National rankings. It's way pass some of yall to understand.

Parents, coaches, friends, guardians, etc, etc, bah-hhhh! The Texas Roundball Senior Showcase is fast approaching. It's scheduled in March. If you have a senior and feel like he needs additional exposure, this may be one of several venues for them. Site has not been determined but it will probably be in the Waco or Georgetown area. Saturday March 27!

[/quote] and what level is that, exactly?  i know you aren't more intelligent than me, so why are you able to see the "clear picture" while all i see is some jackass running up the score on inferior opponents?   is it from your experience with your nike shoe deal?  or was it when you played for that high school basketball team that was ranked #3 in the nation?  was it when you were a top recruit?    their 1000 point win earlier in the season has gotten them plenty of exposure.  their 43-game win streak has given them plenty of exposure.  their #3 national ranking has given them plenty of exposure.  fouling to get the ball back and score 100 points is not going to help any of these kids get scholarships.  all it will do is make their coach look even worse than he already does. Yates has always played this way. Just have a better club now.

My school wears Nike, but I can assure you that Nike cannot "provide" these athletes with any shoes nor pay high school coaches to do so either. It's a violation of UIL and NCAA Amateur status laws. Shoe contracts, leverage for summer coaching jobs on elite summer basketball teams (driven by Nike). National rankings solidifies another shoe contract for the school to make it somewhat simple for you to understand. ;)

If my memory is correct, the alley oop was not criticized but rather the fact that while a major celebration was taking place immediately after the alley oop, the opposing team was scoring an easy layup because the chest pounding and icy stares kept the oopers from getting back on defense in time.
