Top H.S. Junior Skips Senior Season??

I disagree totally with you Dove. What if something happen to kid and he can't play pro ball anymore. He doesn't have any type of education to back him up with. At least finish high school than be a dropout. He can go online and get a GED in a matter of weeks. He could also get hurt his senior year in high school. The kid is 6'9" and 240 pounds? He's going pro. Let him make his money. Tennis players do it all the time. The NCAA is trying to look out for it's butt and not have a watered down minor league pro league in the future. Having a GED does not really mean anything compare to a diploma. Even if he did get hurt his senior year at least he was able to walk on stage and receive a diploma. He only have one more year of high school and then he would be playing in a tougher league with college player. His dad made a stupid choice on my part. If this kid makes 3 million dollars a year for a few years, who cares if he doesn't have a h.s. diploma? he could still buy the darn thing or study for it during his off days. -
Oh I get it. You don't want to be blamed for HJ losses in 4 years...cool ...not as long as Todd Sutherland walks HJ's hallways Okay, just found out the class of 2014 and 2015 are running football sprints and plays. Sheez! Maybe you have a point.

Oh I get it. You don't want to be blamed for HJ losses in 4 years...cool Dove- Have you given any thought to trying to promote NATIONAL high school championship tourneys? If you started on that now and get it instituted, I'll bet that the 2012-2014 HF team will take it all. It is important, however, to be mindful of what years of Universal off season does to a basketball player. I like mismatch here. Looks like the smaller fella is going around the bigger one. Hmm? Almost HF and HJ school colors

d. frank is a program killer he needs to leave dosent go to class ,cusses teachers, etc... Thats okay, he can sit on the sidelines with all the players who had potential at the local park or Melton Y OR he could transfer to a private school in Houston coached by his former coach's (Boutte) protege'...... : :...Maybe HE can get him right as Boutte would.... : :... Without getting too personal, I seem to have heard from very reliable sources that a certain business advisor tried to get this kid to Houston and start a new life, but the kid didn't want any part. of it.

I agree with this post with a disclaimer. If UIL allows privates to play with the publics, then ALL the privates should have to play 5A, regardless of their size or location. Schools such as Legacy (at this time) could not hang with 5 A ball

Good luck! Oh, do you care to elaborate on what 5 public high schools you are talking about? Thats no secret...Waltrip, Washington, Eisenhower, Reagan, and Lamar.....Then about another 5 miles away you have Kashmere, Scarborough and Aldine and not far from that you could also possibly lure a WHEATLEY kid or two... ...I am ALL OVER IT, too! I dont even want the MAIN guys, really, either....Just the ones who may not be happy about their place in the line up or program..... 8) I want to get some NUMBERS, then turn them into some QUALITY TAPPS depth! Man Bluedove, you were way off on your list of schools. You sure you're from Houston? See, this si what happens when you stay away from the *hood* a long time. For the life of me, I could not think of any inner city schools. Memorial, Bellaire, etc; I need my *azz* whipped

When Brandon Jennings went to Europe I think we all knew it would open up new doors for kids to *backdoor* into the NBA. I think there are special circumstances where a kid should *backdoor* into the pro leagues. I can think of a local player who would benefit from this move. People, there are players out here who have serious problems with academics. Let's be real, it's just not that hard to get a high school diploma, for some people. And if it's hard for some, then they need to let them go ahead and play ball. -
Good luck! Oh, do you care to elaborate on what 5 public high schools you are talking about? Hmm? Let me take a crack. I may miss one or two. Bellaire (of course), Westbury, Sharpstown, Memorial (?), Madison. Wait a minute! Man, you're right by the loop, easy mode of transportation by car and bus.

Dove, the real reason they are having difficulty with the hiring process is that all of the prospective candidates have found out what a force HF will be in the 2013-2015 season and they don't want to risk the chance of playing second fiddle. Bad news, me hear several of the players from this squad will transfer to other schools to play ball Doubt that will happen. And it wont help, all coaches in BMT on the same level now... Well except for that one in the West. All these guys will be young whipper snappers if Saveat comes back, all have someting to prove, and all are not yet GREAT! Ooops! Sorry, I was responding to Stevie *shameless* Nash's comments and referring to HF kids

Ozen Job Once Closed Now Reopened

Dickie V. I will agree with you here. While I am not a BISD fan this could all be happening because of 1 person and as much as I have bashed this school district I don't REALLY KNOW what is going on. So assuming is not fair to all of those involved. However, I hope the school district learns a lesson and lets those who should do the hiring (Saveat) do the hiring and let the others stick to their respective jobs. But isn't it the job of the leaders in BISD to tell these morons to knock it off. If it truely is only 1 or 2 people the majority should step up and take control, and if they don't then ALL of them are at fault. Maybe the 1 or 2 had influenced the votes long before all this public info was obtained, which is why there is no decision. -
I don't understand why some of you guys are making such a big fuss. Some of us were alreading saying that another particular coach was being seriously considered for the job. Something happened to that coach and now theres another name in the pot.

This process has always been personal. If it wasn't, Saveat would have been the top candidate from day one. In some circles, he is not the man for the job. All it takes is one circle to throw a another loop into the whole process.
