Houston Yates/Houston Wheatley game moved!!!!
BLUEDOVE3 replied to a topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Good point short! Madison & Willowridge rivalry is dead, but Yates and Wheatley still lives on after all these years. -
I guess in my mind I keep going back to the parent who told me they were keeping their kid back so that they could be one of the stronger baseball players in his age group. I'm guessing some parents will try anything.

I think some of the problem is with the parents. Are coaches stupid enough to lose their jobs by dispensing drugs?

See, this is why I stay out of the water. I can't see whats beneath me in the Gulf. -
The pain in her foot went away but she also noticed that she was shaving alot more than usual. She has beautiful sideburns now!! ;D Now that you mention it, I did see hair growing between her teeth
-
I saw a story on CNN this morning where they inteviewed various athletes and how they noticed how stronger their bodies became. A female track star begin to notice the pain in her broken foot went away. Another minor league baseball player began to pitch harder and was called up the majors.

I've heard of parents taking their kids to get growth hormone shots. But no personal proof.

VIDEO.....HJ Focused On Round 3
BLUEDOVE3 replied to KFDM COOP's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Sheez! Watching the video makes me wonder how did HJ get so far in the playoffs. Did I see a kid miss a easy layup? -
I guess we can't talk about the past now : That means you can not talk about HJ 3 state titles that was in the past as well. ;D NO....................HJ can be talked about future, current and past at anytime on this board!!!!! :D :D I knew the rumor was true. This forum was started by H-J peeps.

Houston Yates/Houston Wheatley game moved!!!!

Wow! Talking about tradition. Nothing like the atmosphere between a Yates and Wheatley game. Wow! -
yeah thats true... Ive seen this kid play a handful of times...He is a beast out there, looks like a man among children..but the teams ive seen him play against, some even half a foot shorter than him shut him down n a game..im not knocking this cat..I mean hes committed to SFA...but he just doesnt know how to play that well...He posts up in the wrong spots on the court and doesnt use his heighth as an advantage as time..I believe SFA is going on potential. Im sure they'll have someone working 1on1 with him on footwork and post moves...And he may end up being someting nice to watch up n Nac. 6'8' and going to SFA? He must have just started playing basketball in high school and is slow, or the Big 12 would have gotten him. well like i was saying dove, this kid doesnt really have the post player mentality...or a guards mentality at that...he seems a lil slow but for a post man he is a pretty good speed...he just doesnt have any post moves, foot work...needs someone to just take him aside and work with him on being a post..right now the only thing going for him is size and potential...we will see i suppose... There is always hope for a big man as long as the kid is dedicated and has someone willing to work with him. I saw Hakeem in the gym before he was well known. God is truly a miracle worker. And there was another player who evetually went to Sam Houston and I think he still hold some records for shot blocking. He was sad as well in high school.

Better see them soon because historically they choke around crunch time. I KNOW this group is different...They are rolling right now! They will beat Wheatley on Wednesday night...probably by a lot, too! I certainly hope your family isn't reading this forum from back home Dickie. Where is the love for Wheatley ??? -

Jones is playing Washington on Wednesday at Delmar Stadium @ 7pm. Yates and Wheatley will be at Barnett Stadium also Wednesday @ 7pm.... The Ozen bus makes it as far as 1-10 and 59, breaks down for seasonal repairs -

I'm beginning to think LUPA needs to be investigated. They are obviously enticing these kids with money, furs, and cars to sign up over there ;D

You and Bullet make good points. So the next question is this: If you are a 6'2"-6'3" guard with very good D-1 skills and live in a 3-A district, would you move to a larger district to play? or stay put?
