  1. I don't blame him at all.
  2. Imagine that!!!!! You having a prediction of LU losing!!!! : : : No!!! I predict a successful conference run for LU.
  3. Okay, If UNLV predicts 15 pt. win, then I predict 7.5 margin plus for LU.
  4. I just get the feeling he is waiting for a better offer to come along.
  5. I'm tempted to predict an outcome but I don't want to jinx the hometown team. 8) 8)
  6. mffl, you are at least consistent because you are always positive with the Cards. Need more fans like you in the area. I expect very good teams our way within the next few years. I like what Roc is doing.
  7. This guy Woodard is beginning to impress me. He's serious about LU becoming successful in football. I like his attitude.
  8. NO WAY i said, can play with.i didnt say beat. I can get high schoolers to "play" just a game. You don't compete to play. You compete to win. This reminds me of parents who go around saying "sports isn't all that important." But you later find out their kids are taking private lessons in baseball, basketball, etc; to get better.
  9. You're getting there UNLV. Reality and the truth is setting in now.
  10. Okay, I know I might stir some thought here, but you can't compare basketball and football. You will always find an exceptional football player in the 2-A/3-A ranks to play major D-1 ball. When it comes to basketball, there is more to it than just physical ability.
  11. The Cards will do well in conference play.
  12. The guy said he had a few more recruiting trips to take. And I took it as if a better offer doesn't come around, he will stick with Lamar. I'm wondering if this is a recruiting ploy to put a little added push to any schools that really want his services.
  13. In some circles, it's common knowledge that this is the loser's bracket to give them extra games to play. No, BLUE, that's coNsolation. The question was what/s coLsolation? : You know he meant consolation : : :
  14. It depends. To be honest with you, this kid's name isn't mentioned when you began to discuss guards in the Greater Houston area. I would recommend him attending some of the exposure camps in the Houston area after the season. His stock could rise when he plays against other players.

  16. Ah Nos, obviously you and I were in the same meeting one lazy evening with a certain UT recruiter and a certain D-1 coach (hmmm?). Yep, he was receiving "bad" advice from a certain coach through a certain family member. The offer never came.
  17. The kid thought he would get offers from major D-1 schools. He did get offers from D-1 schools at the mid major level. Okay, name all your HJ guards in the past 10 years and the schools they attended to play ball. I'm really not familiar with HJ, but lets play name the player and the school he played for. Let me make this clear. I'm not saying 3-A players (guards)can't play at a higher level, but they would have to have some major skills about them, (i.e. quickness......)
  18. I think you're missing the point or don't want to face the reality about the differences in 2-A, 3-a versus 5-A. I always use the kid from Hardin-Jefferson who was a super star there about a year ago. In fact, we could probably name several players from that program who were stars at HJ. With all their 3-A talent, they were not major D-1 material. If you are under 6'3", you better have some super talent to compete at that level, or you're headed to JUCO or Lamar University.
  19. And you have no idea how I wanted to have a sarcastic remark about now
  20. I really hate to hear this..............Nah, just kidding. HJ is like the bunny. Just keeps on winning and winning, for now.
  21. I'd love to see the counter arguments to this topic from some people.
  22. NO WAY Yes, WAY - but admittedly it's a WAAAAAAYYYYYYY long shot. OKay, let me say it in another way for clarity. Impossible in 2009!! Aren't you the same guy that said they couldn't beat Tech? Texas Tech? I don't think so. Tech is weak.
