Thats why I predict LU will win the conference or at least have a good shot at winning it. The SLC is a weak conference compared to other lowly conferences. Too bad UT won't give LU the time of day to play them. UL, UK, and Memphis gave LU the time and day... But didn't they play LU in a round robin format with other teams? UT has too much lose right now. How would it look for another Texas team with mid-major status beat up on them?

I like that Curry kid's game. A reporter asked him about his missed shots and he responded by saying he had a short memory when it came to missing shots. You gotta love that kid.

Lamar U. will be OK, they hit a preverbial wall and it is going to be a tough task to get back on track. They will do fine when they get back in their element (the SLC)...Thats what playing high major D-I schools will do for you. I just urge you LU fans to be realistic about your expectations for this team. They are a low major school and teams like UK and Louisville are showing them who they are. 8) C'mon LU fans, deep down you know DV is making sense here. LU will be fine within the SLC. These games with the big boys will prepare them for the other mid major schools. It will be okay. You'll win the SLC.

The one thing you can say positive about attending a Lamar game is that the arena is nice. It's really a nice place to promote and watch a game. But they need a new video/scoreboard and sound system. It was nice 25 years ago but it's time for an upgrade. I know those things cost a lot of money but they should be able to find some money for one. Surely all you Lamar fans on here can raise $25,000

I forgot about the NIT. Now I could appreciate that venue. I would love to see Lamar take a run similar to Gonzaga (sp?).

I'm looking forward to Lamar winning the SLC conference, then the SLC tourney, then hopefully get a 14 or 15 seed in the NCAA tourney and put up a good fight and maybe even win in a big upset like Northwestern State did a few years ago. You seem to think because we're fanatical about Lamar basketball that we're expecting Lamar to go to the final four each year. Our expectations are a lot more modest than what you think. I predict Lamar to win conference but lose in the conference tournament. Yep, too high expectations.
