Da Dove is a UH grad. But let me make this perfectly clear (again). I wish nothing but good for LU basketball. I think this is one of the most exciting (well quickest) LU teams I have seen in a very long time. They actually play entertaining basketball now. Roc has done a good job of putting this team together. But, I'm not going to sit here and pretend LU have beaten quality teams and headed for a conference championship. I'm waiting for the heat to rise and then I'll see what ingredients are in the heat of battle, win or lose.

So what is really your point Terror? Are you trying to hint around that LU has played a powder-puff schedule so far and because of this schedule it's still too early to predict how good they will be?

Woodman, I can appreciate your loyalty to LU basketball. There are a few other fans on the forum but there are a few of us who try and keep you guys in check. Right now, you're playing a JV schedule and only time will tell what true colors LU will be wearing for the season

Hey , maybe LU is ready to move back to the Sun Belt. Or is it just my imagination that LU is finally getting competitive within the Southland Conf and should reap the benefits and stay put ;D

Orangefield seems to be a community that loves basketball. Just from looking a the players from all levels, they seem to play a lot of basketball out there.

I don't know if we can shoot that well, but we should have the speed. I agree, the jury is still out as far as shooting. But I will take speed this year after seeing so many turtles in the past at LU.

Good point! I was thinking on similar thoughts earlier this week. If you're not use to facing a good 1-3-1 (press), ithe pressure could send your team out of it's game plan. But if you practice the defense and come across it, you should be able to handle it well. With quicker and faster athletes, you would think it would be seen more. But you must have a discipline and intelligent players to pull it off.

Hmmm! I'm hearing some injury reports from the LU circle this week. May change some strategies for this weekend.
