Okay, after a few weeks debating over at the political sites on the board, my karma marks almost look like Dickie's, which is nothing to brag about. So I'm coming back to the sports end of it now, expecially since basketball is heating up. Fellas, it's nice to think about Jai coming to Lamar and it makes interesting conversation. But that yahoo sportswriter must have been smoking something or just blowing the smoke up our crack. There is no way this kid is coming to Lamar and play.Nobody with any kind of competitive spirit will choose playing Sam Houston Technical College over Memphis State University.

What we know so far;artifical turf, new seats, stadium beautification, and maybe new VIP suites. So it'll look much different than before. I hope there is good food in the VIP suites.

Schedule your games with Orangefield, LC-M, lUMBERTON and Ozen. ;D I believe that there are quite a few Houston area teams that beg to differ. You guys only want to remember the one loss per year in the Houston area. I prefer to savor the victories. We have sent more H-area teams home than the reverse. Holy Jeepers! The BEAUMONT paper says Houston Wesbury but I just got word my Houston connection that it's really Wesbury Christian coming to YBML. It's bad enough SOC is coming but Wesbury plays a major schedule and is a very good team.

Yao looks much slower this year. The game speed might pass him by and he becomes more of a liability as opposing teams use their speed to counteract his size.

Nah, as far as individual talent AI is good. okay ill agree with you at that as far as an individual talent yes ai is good but as far as a team player giving out assists playing aggresive defense no i do think that he can help and you have to remember the pistons usually play that 3-2 or 2-3 zone which means on defense he will have to be able to help his teammates and not be selfish and i dont see that happening teams win games not individuals I have to agree with you on this one.

We obviously do not have the talent or coaching to keep up with the big boys in a our district. WOS & Silsbee will always have talent year end & year out, they do not rebuild they just reload. HF needs to play better fundamentally to overcome what they lack in talent. This years team although somewhat talented is fundamentally flawed, to many costly penalties, turnovers, along with a serious lack of execution, discipline and leadership gave this team no chance. There I said it I hope this made all of you HF haters happy. Well, they should at least appreciate your truth and honesty.

Basketball is a funny game. I've known some great players who were supposely destined to go to the NBA. And I've known a small few who made it and no one ever expected them to go that far. Some of these high school kids are good at the level they are playing and will not advance much farther. The thing with 3-A schools is that the level of competition isn't all what it is talked up to be ( I'll probably get some flack). Jarvis is going to have to play against some top quality players or some good exposure camps during the summer months to get any notice from the big D-1 schools. Which is where most of these kids are trying to play ball
