Did I mention a particular name? Hmm? I don't think so. But I've read several posts on here that lead me to believe that the team had one or two players playing "me-ball." And the one game I saw last season, I saw it for myself. Too much dribbling and shots ill advised during the situation by one or two players. Now, as far as talent? Yep, they do have talent. Now the thing about English I like is this: He realizes he needs to put his guys against top talent to get better. And he's making the moves to accomplish this.

Maybe if we drop Sam Houston out of the conference, then maybe the conference will................oh nevermind!

Fellas, this is about credibility for your program and recruiting. It looks good when you present to a recruit that you have Kentucky, Memphis, etc on your schedule. Schools like Lamar can't live off what was done years ago. I think Roc made some great moves with this one.

Seems like our new AD is serious about getting the programs to the next level.

I saw Nederland play only once last season and in my own personal observation (and only one game), I noticed one player in particular playing somewhat selfishly. I wasn't sure at first but after reading the forum, my observations may have some validity.

We had a team ranked #1 in offense and dead last in defense. The stands would be packed for the games. You make exciting plays and give up touchdowns too. Plenty of scoring. This is how I envision LU football

I think there needs to be a committee formed to make sure you maintain the attendance after the fanfare 7 newness dies down.

I don't have any experience coaching but I doubt if anyone would notice. Maybe I should apply for a coaching position.

well said Shoot! if it will make my kids or yours better, I say lets play. I teach mine to never run away from good competition. SOmetimes you gotta get a reality check to see that you still have a way to go in your sport.

Hmmm! Would't these moves make the conference weaker like the Southland Conf? I personally don't want to see U of H playing La-Monroe or Texas State.

I ain't telling. But if we got this person it would be a major move in the right direction for the girl's program.

Coaches have their own network of contacts, most being other coaches or confidants. They communicate a lot, bouncing ideas and concepts off of each other and sharing news - sometimes before it is "News." They are a special, tight-knit group and they are loyal to each other. I kind of like that. And to think I use to be a P.E. Major and wanted to go into coaching. I knew there was something missing in my career.

Hmm? I'm curious as to why non-HF fans are in the know about OUR next coach. Sheez, I ain't heard a word.
