Now, I'm impressed you admitted your thought process about our basketball team was wrong. I'm hoping you are two for two in the future. Well, the jury is still out because all this depends on the conference tournament. But I gotta admit, they are looking good.

I wouldn't call it a struggle. Sometimes teams are so good that they think opponents are just going to roll-over and die. Instead of just going out there focused on the job ahead of them. I think Ozen will give them a good game, but Ozen is not going to be able to withstand the pressure the mighty Lions will inflict. An onslaught unlike Ozen has seen all year in that weak district they played in this year. Yates will be alright as long as they don't go into the game thinking Ozen will just give them the game. In fact, I'll be contacting (my brother)the coach today and relay the sentiments from Southeast Texas and it's Ozen supporters :D :D

They're in 4A because of their numbers. Don't be mad, especially since BISD's attendence zones don't affect you in LC-M or where ever you reside. BTW, WB is over capacity by 800 and Ozen is under capacity by 500 but only 12-15 kids can play on varsity at one time. Explain the 'fairness' in BISD assigning 2 elementary schools in and near the Pear Orchard to Marshall, which is in the West End? Explain that to me. And based on your information, West Brook just by sheer numbers should be further in the playoffs because they have a better selection than Ozen. I guess thats a another positive that Ozen obviously have excellent coaching.

Dear God! I know you answer prayers and I realize you are very busy. But if you could just oversee the Yates vs Ozen game and help the best team win. May the losers on this forum suffer humiliation and kneel humbly before the mighty Jack Yates Lions. Dear God, remember how I felt when Ozen whipped up on Wheatley. Then Ozen should be good in football since they have an advantage, right? Actually, once you establish a reputable program, student-athletes will lean towards those programs. Texas A&M is a prime example. A&M didn't get any respect when I was in college. They began to win some major bowl games and their recruiting took off.

I don't really think thats a fair question. Hardin-Jefferson, Ozen, Westbrook, etc, etc, bah-hhhh are public schools. Open to all under very limited restrictions, and free. Schools like Kelly are of a different color. Green! And with that green comes an education geared towards a college curriculum and thats what attract parents to Kelly. They enroll them with the dream of attending college. Shoot, half the kids at Hardin-Jefferson go work on the farm after graduation........I'm just kidding!

YADA!YADA!YADA! Yep Boutee will try and control the tempo of the game. He tries to control the tempo all the time. Thats what coaches do.As I have mentioned before, I saw a team beat Wheatley in Austin by walking the ball down the court everytime against the mighty Wildcats. Even Wheatley's press didn't affect them. They set up a play each time whether they broke the press and had a 3 on 1. They set up. Now, is Ozen this disciplined and patient enough? Can Yates play a half court game? These questions will be soon answered.

Wow! What a night of basketball this Friday. The #1 ranked high school team Jack Yates vs Ozen and Wheatley vs Smiley all in teh same night and in the same gym.

Dudes and dudettes, how can you possibly think Ozen is going to beat the mighty Jack Yates Lions. Their mystic will give them 5 points even BEFORE the game starts, but you won't see it on the scoreboard in the beginning. By time Ozen realize what hit them, it will be too late to catch up. It just goes to show you how good Yates is this year, I think they relaxed too early in this game. The only time you can relax in the playoffs is when you hear the final horn. Yates needed this game to wake up.
