And I use to think Little Dribblers was a milder form of sports competition. I've seen parents act crazy at those events.

Is it that your best players are opting out for the Select teams and leaving your league with weaker players or it's just the numbers in general that are your concerns ???

I'm personally involved with a situation where a parent (ass't coach this year) on our select 11u basketball team hollers at his son so bad when his kid screws up in practice. The whole gym gets quiet when he goes on his rampage against his son. The kid looks for his dad everytime he makes a mistake. I guess to see if his dad is going to disapprove.

I know one thing. If ever anyone is looking for a good personal trainer in track, check with Art Simpson who works at Lamar. My kids don't run track but he helped them with conditioning their muscles for quickness.

Dickie, I don't understand why all the disfavor towards OUR Houston schools. Some of your best moments were against these teams. You grew up rooting for these teams when you were a young boy. I just don't understand. It still isn't to late to " jump ship" come back home to the winners 8)

That school district has had problems since back in the 80's. What is going on out there? A 60% tax increase to cover their deficit? Sheez!

And that's the reason Tramain Thomas is an asset on any court, on any field, on any team. Congratulations Carla and Billy Thomas, on a job well done!! We've all enjoyed watching a great kid accomplish great athletic feats. And as for the "hype" comments — you're all wet. The athletes you're promoting may be better than Tramain. Who really knows? But few, if any of us supporting EC, really care. We've had fun and won't soon forget what Tramain Thomas has done for the EC athletic program. Good point MT. I've heard the kid has some good supporting parents. Hmmm? A super star and I've never heard him acting up with an ego.

I have an ill feeling about Ozen's chances in the playoffs. I'm not sure if they can last deep enough into the playoffs to meet the mighty Jack Yates Lions.

I just don't feel there will be a Jack Yates vs Ozen meeting this season. My fortune cookie isn't predicting any favorable outcome for the Panthers. It's just too tough for them this year. But I will be rooting for the home team anyway.

This is good. I'm sure this is going to really improve their basketball recruiting, ah I meant their program.
