  1. Is it a business for him or does he do it when he is in the gym lounging around? The guy could probably make some serious money if he's doing it full-time.
  2. My point was this: Sometimes the educational environment is too laxed for the serious student to obtain a quality education. Sometimes it's not good to mix steak with a hotdog.
  3. Dickie, it's the new school rap music, man. Thats where the blame should be pointed. All you young kids listening to all those wannabee thugs.
  4. Well yes, definitely you would want to press charges against the individual, but I was thinking the poster wanted action against the district.
  5. Do check, because Barbers Hill along with Kountze probably gave the biggest pre-tourney warm-up in the area.
  6. Do something like what? What would you do?
  7. H-F has some athletes who have moved into the area from BISD. The problem is the parents I have talked to may not let them play in the H-F district. But if they play, in 4 years H-F will be competitve.
  8. OOH OOH please tell me who u r so I can sit right on side of you at Ozen vs. Yates!!!! lol LOL! Dickie better treat me to my lunch after the Yates win.
  9. I wonder if BJ does any personal training on the side. Anyone knows?
  10. Like I figured, I gotta wait till Regionals to see Ozen go down through the mighty claws of the mighty J.Y. Lions on Sampson ST.
  11. what does this mean? H-F will have some quality athletes coming in at that time.
  12. Check with Barbers Hill, Kountze, Bridge City, and I think Anahuac..oh and Hardin-Jefferson (Twin County) Little Dribblers programs. They all held good tournaments prior to regionals last year. Especially Barbers Hill.
  13. Thats okay H-F. You'll be playing payback in 4 years. 8)
  14. Hmm? Yo Dick! A very close member of your family has some history with Luke, Sr. But of course you know who I am referring to, right?
  15. I hear rumors ever so often that BJ plays at the Rec in P.A. someimes.
  16. Personally, he should decide on the school that going to give him the best education and let sports be secondary in his decision making. And Coaches, please have these kids to start taking their entrance exams at least by the 10th grade and not during their senior year.
  17. Okay , surely someone from Ham-Fan can make this list!!!
  18. What was wrong with Isiah?
  19. What a wonderful situation to be in. To be able to sit back and decide on what school to attend to recieve an expense paid trip and receive an education. ;D
  20. Dickieboy! Start saving your money. I think I'll upgrade to Brentwood Country Club for our luncheon.
  21. You are truly your daddy's son, Dickieboy! Keep up the good work.
  22. LOL at soulja............OZEN keeps rolling on their way to Austin.............and if anyone didnt know ozen could possibly meet Central for a third time in the playoffs if they make it far enough so they will have a third time to redeem themselves because their is no way central is beating ozen on their homecourt...........Soulja dont you remember what happen last year in ozen's gym?? Rice was on the bench wit his legs crossed because he was losing by 30 i think we see an encore of that Tuesday............. :D :D :D Let me repeat myself. Ozen will not get past regionals this year. A Houston team is waiting around the corner for them. 8) ozen is more then ready for them i promise you All I ask for is that I can find you guys after regionals and boast. I want you and my close family member (Dickie) to buy me lunch at Chili's and listen to me brag how Yates destroyed Ozen in 2008.
  23. "but when the teams where close to egual English 3?" What??????
  24. See, a kid like him could go to a smaller D-1 school and play both sports. He could almost demand in his "unwritten contract" that he play both.
  25. That would be nice but it won't happen. They'd never vote to let us compete in just one sport. But 5 years from now, who knows what opportunites will be out there. Lamar should be just about finished with all of it's facility upgrades and it's athletic budget should be closer to $10M a year than just $5M now. Lamar should be able to make a jump to a better conference at that time. CUSA? You people are dreaming. Lamar needs to be very successful in the Southland Conf first and foremost. Compete for and win a FCS(D1AA) championship. There are too many other options for CUSA to add. Why Lamar when you have all of the SunBelt schools (read established D1A) to choose from. Troy, Arkansas State, North Texas, etc., to name a few. Besides, a $10 million athletic budget is nothing these days. That's probably the very bottom end for an FBS program. Besides, CUSA is not looking to add another football any time soon. Whew! I was thinking the same thing. Luckily he was referring to swimming and not the whole athletic program.
