LOL at soulja............OZEN keeps rolling on their way to Austin.............and if anyone didnt know ozen could possibly meet Central for a third time in the playoffs if they make it far enough so they will have a third time to redeem themselves because their is no way central is beating ozen on their homecourt...........Soulja dont you remember what happen last year in ozen's gym?? Rice was on the bench wit his legs crossed because he was losing by 30 i think we see an encore of that Tuesday............. :D :D :D Let me repeat myself. Ozen will not get past regionals this year. A Houston team is waiting around the corner for them. 8)

I attended a YMCA league game today and after one particular game, I overheard a father say that the coach better not be cursing the kids (age about 8 years old)in his post-game meeting. The father begin taking off his watch and his cap as if he was preparing for action. I guess the coach didn't curse his players because I didn't hear any commotion outside the building. My son's played Little Dribblers last year and I could not believe how some parents acted in the stands.

Orangefield? Oh well, I guess it doesn't matter anymore because I'm moving to Sour Lake where basketball is a part of life there.

Hey Dick! The honest God's truth. Coach Brazos is not among us anymore, but he talked to my English teacher and she changed my grade. I missed a game until it was changed. But I was intelligent enough to pass the class. I just lost my focus for those particular six weeks.

My coach had my Englisg grade changed from a F to ??? (hhmmm? I know it was a passing grade) and it inspired mee tu greaduate and git my cellege dogree. Dat was my last F I made in junior high skool. Sew maybe sumtimez it is fur the good.

What is FBS?

So if only a 1000 voted, what does this say about the student body & football? Let's see, there are at least 1500 students living on campus. About a 10,000 student enrollment. My greatest fear is that this thing passes and no community or student support for the program, unless there is some major school to come in and play and then the attendance will look good for that particular game. And I don't think local recruiting will bring in your fan base. Many of these kids are good in high school but it doesn't mean they are good at the next level.

I'm expecting it to be behind the baseball field. A lot of space for a field out there. iT'LL GIVE lAMAR A NEW look as you enter from that side of the campus.

Well, obviously it's probably best that it happens now and maybe he will wake up one day to see life is what you make of it. I would hate to see him as a spoiled superstar gone bad. There is an Independent Film called "Hooked?" Former NBA stars grew up with this kid in California who could jump/dunk over 6 cars in the playground. Hook didn't listen and ended up in prison. He became a prison playground legend. :'(

Is Wheatley 4-A? Sheez! Oh man, Ozen has to get by Wheatley too? Maybe Ozen will start to peak later in the season.

I can think of several ball players in different sports who had all the talent but their attitude was messed up. The only changed them was age or death.

You obviously have not watched much basketball this year have you!!! Actually, I watch a lot of basketball. But mostly in Houston.

You did call it Dicky V and did not believe you but after seeing them last night very lazy team with tons of talent. I was talking to some area fans and a parent commented would could Jackie Carr do with this team? I told him first thing is that Coach Carr would have benched half of the kids for walking down the court. I actually think they will win a couple bc they look to get Lamar Cons. but who knows? They have bigger issues than their BB team right now to contend with. Coach Carr would have put in a whole new five and played the bench the rest of the game.

I wonder if Dickie, Jr will pay me a lot of money if I keep my "mouth shut" as to your identity? Nah, I wouldn't bust you out like that Dickie. But you better respect your elders (me) on this forum. 8)

I was in Kelly's gym last Fall and the rumor I heard was that his attitude was the cause of his demise there. Let me say this. I wIll not have an attitude problem from my kids as long as they live with me. Enough said!

Dick Jr, I saw the game. I said all along that year your guard play was suspect. They were good but not really quick & athletic when it came time for playoffs. Cream rises to the top.

Nah! You gotta understand the mentality of the game (inner city schools)from outside of Southeast Texas. It's an aggressive game and thats the only way to play the game. You don't change your game plan because you're playing a weaker team. You play the way you practice. You practice the way you play.

I guess we could start a new thread on Frankie B. But it really saddens me to see players today who don't have the basic basketball foundation today to be successful. The man was master of the game. For example, a simple pass down the court to the open man on a fast break. Frankie B taught it or your tail was his if you didn't follow his rules of the game.
