Game Summary....... Better team won. I can't stand Monday morning QBing......(as that's all we do on this board and little Thursday Qbing as well)......but in the end, "we just ran out of time," "we beat ourselves,"  "we kept shooting ourselves in the foot," "oh, the penalties is what hurt us,"  ALL translates into LOSING. THE final score is the best Qbing you'll ever do.  Let it stand  And no matter how many excuses you could make, take it like a man  (or fan)- WIN or Lose.

However, here's TEXAS UIL exceptions to NCAA [url=[Hidden Content]] EXCEPTION: 3-2-4 and 3-3. Intentional grounding to stop the clock; 3. Incomplete illegal forward pass; 4. Backward pass thrown out of bounds to stop the clock; 5. Any other foul committed with the intent of stopping the clock. The offended team may accept the yardage penalty and decline the 10-second subtraction. If the yardage penalty is declined the 10-second subtraction is declined by rule. b. The 10-second rule does not apply if the game clock is not running when the foul occurs or if the foul does not cause the game clock to stop (e.g., illegal formation). c. After the penalty is administered, if there is a 10-second subtraction, the game clock starts on the referee’s signal. If there is no 10-second subtraction, the game clock starts on the snap. d. If the fouling team has a timeout remaining they may avoid the 10-second subtraction by using a timeout. In this case the game clock starts on the snap after the timeout. Also, honest..... I would NOT put Angleton in the same category as GCM or Crosby (no disrespect to either).  Angleton is ranked in top of the state for a reason.....just a side note.

If I were to make a prediction, I would guess it would be low scoring based on Ned's D. Ned didn't have a single pick 6 during the 3 years I played Varsity there)? Would guess that Angleton has speed based from their team last year, but so did Crosby And GCM. Our offense is more explosive this year, no doubt, but the nay Sayers claim it's bc the field position is so favorable. If Angleton can reduce turnovers and pin Ned's O deep with a good kicking game, Big Ned MAY struggle. If not, I say Ned wins by 2 scores. Even if we are stopped, Noel will get us at least '3'. [/quote] I agree. Why were SOME of the fans on this board bashing QB SMITH????  And calling for his job. I defended him all week with little support from PNG fans. Smith did a fine job at QB, managing offense, nice passing, nice arm, very athletic. I see high points in Clark and Rose and another receiver (can't remember the other guys number). I think the defense needs a few adjustments and RB needs to keep his feet moving AFTER contact AND implement SMITH with the run also, not just on short yardage 3 downs.  This would open up running game and passing as well. The NDNs can bring it together IF ALL of the Bashing of QB stops, (I heard this in the community from the NDN faithful as well as on this board).  It just seems to me if the soph doesn't want to wait his turn and this has caused desension in the ranks.  Where has it gone to being a TEAM player????    IMO, the kid needs to go back down to JV (where his size is suited better) and develop MORE.  Good Luck to NDNs. [/quote] Just my notes:  QB size does matter.  AJ did nice job passing, managing offense. Can't see any evidence to start/play anyone else at QB. However, IF PNG so desires to play another QB at MCM, Malveaux, Washington, Pryor just called and say "THANK YOU!" #2 Clark - outstanding, what couldn't that player do?  Wow, liked his heart as well.  Very impressing game. RB didn't keep his feet moving, noticed that early. #85 Rose, play maker, would use him more. Defense wow, I really dread 20-4A for the NDN defense. Can't wait to MCM.  I smell Smoke. Go Dogs!

[/quote] I have seen soph QB play a lot, including other sports.  He is a decent athlete.  I don't see him being better than AJ.  I do think the size at QB matters.  JMO BF can do whatever he likes.  It would make sense that he wants to win. My point is that the coach really needs to figure out his defense rather than QB before district starts, that's the weak link on this team. Anyways, Good luck Friday night.
