Consider 20-4A, Solid passing and running attacks coming at them.  I don't see the speed and size to keep up with Ozen, Vidor, or Nederland and even Central. I think a QB like Raines and Ozen QB will shred the field with the current NDN D. Watch your game this Friday and see what I am saying.  I think WOS will be the first good test for your D.  Maybe I am wrong. To me, this seems to be the NDNs short stick this year.

Remember if aint broke, don't fix it! Offense wasn't broke.  However, the NDN defense, if I was the coach, that would keep up at night worrying.  This is 20-4A after all. Ozen, Vidor, Nederland, Central.....oh the nightmares I would be having trying to find a defense to stop them. It could be a long season if the focus is not put where it needs to be.  Politics doesn't sell football tickets - WINNING does! There could be several fires at the ol' reservation this year.

Our next 2 years looks great.  Our JV did NOT get a beat down by Dayton JV in the scrimmage....what the heck are you talking about? Our underclassmen in the backfield are just about as good as they get - speed, strength. Our unclassman who on are Varsity are excellent ball players making contributions to D and O line as well this year and will return next season. Our JV defense didn't look out of step with Dayton's guys and I know one of Dayton's players had his bell rung. Our underclassman QB looks like a linebacker and  easily passed the ball through Dayton's D, successfully for a handful of TD's along with many other completions.  He has crop FULL of outstanding receivers on JV.  Our JV kicker is outstanding!!! Now, I will give it to you on the freshman, they got it handed it to them, but really you're considering them our next year's Varsity, really???? Dayton beat us in a scrimmage?  Is that all you got? Maybe now, your season will be a success that you beat Nederland in a scrimmage, c'mon man.

Can't see any coach doing that.  AJ has potential to play collegiate ball and you would trade that in for what?  I really am puzzled and I wonder if they have seen the size of WOS and our D for that matter. Not that I want the NDNs to win vs us, but AJ would fair better at QB at this point.  And I want to play the best.  The biggest problem with the NDNs is their defense.  I would put my concern there if I was the Ndn faithful, this drum beat of downing AJ to lift up someone else is distracting and hurtful to the team. Also, any development in the running game would benefit the Indians, AJ should be utilized as run threat as well.  I can see this being the bread and butter for NDNs this year.  The question is why are they not doing it?

I'd say that if I lined on the side with Washington or Couron, I'd be running for my life!!!!  I don't even have to mention Malveaux or Pryor because who'd be so dumb as to run against those guys.  I see trouble for any offense facing these guys. Every week is a test and these guys are passing with flying colors.

The only thing I can say is WOS takes this one. AND I am glad we just scrimmaged them and don't face them in a real game.  I was impressed. PNG defense will not hang with their offense and no matter who shoots the gun for PNG, sorry but no way can they topple the Stang D and speed. Hope PNG stays healthy for MCM so there won't be any other excuses when The DOGS....well,  I don't want to be cocky so I'll stop there. Good luck to both teams, this will be a game to see from the start.

I'll take Nederland in this one.... However, I cannot say a shutout.  We might but I do see any real speed behind us, could score on the right play. I think we need to be careful and realize each game is tough.  And I want to be healthy going into Angleton.  We need to give GCM the respect, after all, these players are on Varsity in the State of Texas and that's no accident.  Go Dogs!

If the game is half as intense as last nite's games at Crosby.....then we are in for a dogfight. Hopefully, tonite, no one will get thrown out... Go Dogs!

I guess the bright spot in Dayton yesterday was our JV. I heard they looked good. And I am not worried about the Varisty, at all. However, Freshman need to regroup after that lashing. I heard it was uuugly. Do think O line is the key to our success this year. I like the backfield and feel Raines get the job done when it counts. Not too worried about the defense. Dogs have a big year ahead, of course, we have to play one game at a time and not look to the end of the season, just yet. Football is a game of preparation, execution and of sheer determintation.  You have to will yourself to win, whether you trying a last minute score or to keep the opponent from a winning scoring drive. We will see how determined this team is.....shortly.
