Ned Coaching always has had a defensive mindset, (maybe due to previous influences on coaches). I for one was NOT calling for any head of coaches at Ned....consistently the program has been in place,and yes, some years are better than others due to talent level.  I just don't see that mindset at Png..JMO.  8) (maybe I should take off my sunglasses);)

Speaking with legal friend regarding recent events of youth, football and Florida.... The topic came up about "posting" about football players on internet (regarding Texas and Federal laws  regarding anyone, especially under age of 18) and potential liability.  I know we talk football but after my conversation and reading over some of the laws, I will not post regarding players by name and after explaining to lawyer friend about the content on this message board, he said that it could well cross the line into cyberharrassment/cyberbullying and could be prosecuted as such.

[/quote][b]They will address both IMO[/b].[/quote] A Coaching mindset doesn't usually change.    Png has not been defensively building their program.  The lower levels are not showing consistency on defense.  Why would all of sudden next year's varsity, know how to play defense effectively? It's not a talent problem as much on defense as it is a coaching philosophy.  Defense has hurt Png all year and it will not be remedied in one season (whether they make to playoffs or not).  Mark my words. 8) 8) 8) Note:  WOS didn't always have the talent for their successful teams.  But the program was built on a defensive mindset all the way through and the players fit into those schemes because it was the program. Just saying a few good words here and there, is not building a program and just having more talent at PNG next season isn't going to fix their probelms either, of course IMO.  ::)

Good luck Vidor!  This is the most interesting matchup in the first round. SC is going to be a huge challenge but Vidor can have the game of the season and SC could be off...ya never know....that's why we play the game. Go Pirates!  Arrrrghhh....

Ozen always seems to start clicking at the right time, this time of the year. This is a see-saw game and I think Ozen on top in this one.

[/quote] Png lost to Nederland JV, also. and Nederland's JV record overall is not reflective of the team.  Had too many injuries and losses of players during season.  They had chances at the end of all loses and lost twice to field goals in last minute.  We lost our field goal kicker, extra point kicker, kick-off, punter and our back-up as well, due to injuries.  3rd string punter and kick-off came in for rest of season and did fine. 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

Nederland in a close one....we will be tested, no doubt, Central is playing for their chance at playoffs and we are playing to reach one of our goals. Go Dogs!
