What is Wos' view of Silsbee and Jasper after the last two weeks?

You have to ask yourself, is it the coaches or students. How many years were the Lincolns and TJs loaded with talent? IMO everytime I seen one of them play the team was one of the most undisciplined. If an ironfist type of coach showed up I suspect the kids would quit.......maybe they have now.

I have to be bias......Silsbee v Kville will pretty much be for a playoff spot.

Kountze had ballooned up to 417 and as of yesterday were at 409.

......which brings up the question, who will be the new coach? I personally do not want Fran or Callahan.

With the new numbers due in a week where are the schools' current enrollments? Last I heard Silsbee was around 860. Kountze was at 411 about 3 weeks ago. I had heard WOS was in the 600s, that true?

Jasper, HF, and Silsbee all control their own destiny. After Friday's performance against WOS, Silsbee has the potential and should go into week 10 against Jasper with the last spot on the line.

This year KV and HF, the supposed small schools, have been doing very well in football and my understanding was this was a football only idea (?). In our area we just need smaller districts.

Those two areas should be addressed before any major changes are made. I'm getting the feeling it won't happen this realignment. Our area just needs two 3A districts instead of one super district.

My goodness you guys can be tough/critical. Could last night have been just a good squad you guys played against? WOS did exactly what HF did the week before to Silsbee. Silsbee's offense can be dangerous and quick to score unless you keep it off of the field. The best way to do that is nickel and dime your way down the field and burn the clock. If you guys feel it was merely WOS's play calling that kept the score low and not the opponent then you guys won't be going far this year. Personally I felt it was a good game with both sides ending drives at key points. The WOS offense was ran just like I would have ran it to win. It was obvious the coaching staff watched the HF video versus the BC or OF.

To be honest not really interested in either game. Not too much excitement but I'll go WB/PAM. On a side note why is there an actual option for mod input on this game but not on the small game? The small game was already up before the buses were even home. As much as there has been a rivalry between WOS/Jasper more is on the line in the Buna game.

......and very young.

This coach is stupid plain and simple. There is not an administration out there that could support this action. If a school employee suspects something like this they should immediately contact the campus administrator. At that point law enforcement should be notified by the school. Schools are civil and police are judicial. Even the cops when they do a sting have the higher ups know what is happening.

No reason to ever throw out how many hours people work or don't work. These guys accept the fact it takes long hours even though the pay may not be the greatest.

Anyone else notice the "big schools are unfair" clamoring has died down since HF and KV are doing well? This week's Jasper game will help clear the picture. Silsbee and HJ are already expected to lose. Silsbee has to win 3 of the next 4. Good to see the Jasper/Silsbee game meaning something again.

No coaching change iminent and no real reason for one. While coach does like his old school veer he has allowed a change to the spread. It has been a big boost since the Newton game.

PNG and HF have the blueprint to beat the Tigers...... no turnovers and I-formation pounding the middle. If you do that you will be seeing 2nd and 3 all night. Silsbee offense is very good but the center of the def is suspect. With the young squad I felt Silsbee would be a boom or bust team. So far they either blow folks out or get blown out themselves. Hope for a good game.

Silsbee had Splendora in the 1st round last season.

As I said congrats to HF, they deserved the win and played hard. Not going to take anything away from them and hope they continue to do well. As far as your hypocrite statement, get your facts straight....Silsbee's 3rd string qb was even running tds in on the young BC squad. You can't really kneel with 4-5 minutes left that scored definitely could have been worse..

With the exception of the special teams scoring twice, it was a good close game with HF.

HF did exactly what they needed to do to win. Ball control. You can't win when the opponent constantly has 2nd and 3. Special teams was the difference. The only complaint I have was the ending. When under a minute,your opponent has no timeouts, you have a 1st, up by 2 scores, but you insist on sticking it in for another. Some people probably don't care and in the end it didn't matter in the game, but that kind of stuff can come back on you later down the road. Congrats HF.

I know you PNG/Nederland fans are obviously giddy, but I'll be glad when channel 6 can get past this week and decides to cover some other area schools. When a television sportscaster is asking which shirts are selling more at a store....c'mon. Several other key games going on besides this one. I bet the Buna and Kountze crowds would like some lovin' too. Magic 8 ball has it being close with a late turnover helping the Injuns by 2.
