Diboll has an excellent kicker. He was the difference maker. Silsbee made tremendous strides from last week's Davis game. The blocking is slowly coming around. The referees were clueless most of the time tonight. They struggled with calls all night on both teams.

I would venture to say if this game is played then someone won't be returning after this season.

Silsbee's main problem last night was line play. I would highly suspect some sub-varsity kids getting a look for line. Johnson can't do it by himself. There were some o-line one in particular who would just stand there and not really engage the defender. I watched it repeatedly.

Being a felony will require him a DAEP placement thus keeping him out of extra curricular.

Who will be this year's overachievers and underachievers from their preseason rankings?

Teachers are granted 450 minutes worth of conf time in a 10 day span. Some districts who have a block schedule may actually give 900 in the same span. I would wager that the powers that be have determined Jasper has to improve in the academic areas. Football records are all fine and dandy but it is the classroom where performance must shine the most. Also with tightening budgets folks are required to do more and more and coaches are no exception. Athletics are secondary in a school setting.

Lot bigger than your central office. I do not know all the ins and outs but it takes solid teachers, parents, and most importantly students to make a difference. It is obvious you dislike your school's leadership over there but money issues are not dictating your TAKS scores. Back to the original post, I would imagine the Orange county economy probably has more to do with enrollment than anything else. Hasn't BC and OF dropped a bit as well?

The Wing T will not get it done That is a tough offense to stop when it is clicking. They did a good job last season. I don't know how many players hey have returning but I'd imagine several teams in the district will have a tough time with them. I could see them possibly finishing 4th or 5th.

So you have them in the playoffs! Nothing wrong with being positive. That would be a tremendous turn around from last season.

I have no doubt the team should be improved over last season, but 6 wins will be tough. Based on the limited info I have I can see a win versus Kountze, Buna, with a wildcard versus HJ.

Disagree with the qualification of having a school aged student. Taxes are paid by all, young and old and whoever is dedicated, has the children's best interest at heart, and supported by the community should be allowed to work on a board.

It was just a matter of time. Cheerleaders and drill teams have had to pay for years. Problem I see is once you start having money directly and visibly leaving parent hands you'll get more of those vocal "stand coaches" trying to become more involved.

We may have the skill positions back but at this point we are very inexperienced in the lines.
