  2. Not sure what exactly happened....by all means come back. Baseball knowledgable people who offend others.....I thought that's what this was all about. No wonder my karma is so low. ;D Seriously, you seemed to know the game and alot of the area players.

  5. Man, my bad. I had a feeling that might be you. You are right, I should have. I not at tonight's game....I hear the Ganders are up early 2-0.
  6. I was there also. I left when CV had a comfortable 6-1 lead. I missed all of the late excitement. Where you sitting on the top row of the stands of the Baytown side ? The reason I asked, when I entered and was leaving I made I contact w/ a Baytown fan......kinda thought maybe it was you. I probably should've asked. I was wearing a blue Angelina cap w/ AC letters in Orange.
  7. Ditto.. Geedad, where you @ the CV/Lee game on Tuesday ?
  8. Dayton That means you'll get to meet Dugas you'll enjoy his bs tell him I said hi. Dugas and bs....no way. ;D I think Dale has more of it than myself. Great guy.
  9. This may sound like a dumb question, but that has never stopped me before. With Barbers Hill's prom being this weekend, will your athletes be effected by the game being to Monday? I know we would all like to think that our players would "toe the line", but they are teenagers. Only if they are still in jail...just kidding. Prom-wise it may better that the game has been moved to Monday. Playing 3 district games in one week....not so good.
  10. You are being picky and a little greedy. Baker came on in the top of the 4th. Rocha pitched 3 innings. Let's see now. 7 innings - 3 innings = 4 innings. Yep, that's 4 innings in my book. ;D ;D But 4 well pitched innings I might add. I think I'm going to call Shooter's math teacher. Seriously, keep up the good work, Shooter. ;D haha let's all mess with the "kid" ;D i appreciate it both rip and eagle btw eagle im not takin a math this year so that could be whats affectin me : That is mostly likely it. However, you could hire a goodlooking tutor to help you out w stats during the season.
  11. Lightning, How are you ? Where is Dean at to start this year ?
  12. Jon Peters of Brenham was a high school stud who threw way too much in high school. IMO, it's all about wear and tear. Doesn't matter if you are throwing well or not....except if you are not throwing well you should certainly come out. If you pitch long enough, you will eventually suffer an injury of some sort. The mechanics of throwing a baseball at a competitive level create more torque and pressure on the arm than any other athletic movement. You may be able to minimize the severity of an injury by taking care of your arm....i.e. long toss, shoulder/jobe exercises, icing after games, getting the proper rest btw starts, and most importantly throwing w/ the proper mechanics. Injuries that tear tendons, etc. (leading to Tommy John surgery ) for the most part don't really occur on the pitch that you feel pain or "hear a pop". They occur over time ( from overuse ) until they finally tear. IMO, I do not think high school pitchers should throw past 100 pitches a game, especially when you have an opportunity to play at the next level. Obviously, all pitchers are not created equal. As far as Smesny @ Dayton, he is a big strong kid, a more physically mature high school senior than most. He more than likely can handle a greater load...but it all comes down to wear and tear from repetitions over time. You start getting up to 120-130+ pitches...that's alot. Just my two cents.
  13. You are being picky and a little greedy. Baker came on in the top of the 4th. Rocha pitched 3 innings. Let's see now. 7 innings - 3 innings = 4 innings. 14. Where did he commit? I'll wait and let his Dad make that announcement. Don't want to steal any thunder. Good kid and a good family.
  15. Very imformative. Thanks. Signability and projectibility/upside are the words we keep hearing the most.
  16. Do not let that kid hurt his arm.....he's got bigger fish to fry.
  17. Roadrunners take game #2, (5-2) for the sweep. Cory Benevidias ( Friendswood ) with the win. John Gacke ( Deer Park ) with the save. Kenny Allison ( Beaumont Central ) with a 2-run HR. AC will host Lon Morris on Saturday. 6 conference games remaining to determine who goes to the conference tournament.
  18. Very big win for the AC Roadrunners down the stretch run. Kendall Thamm ( Barbers Hill ) 5.33 IP, 1 ER, 4K's, 2BB's. ( Helped by two nice double plays and a pick off ). Miller Aldridge ( A & M Consolidated ) 1.66 IP, 1K, 1BB, 0 runs, to earn the save Chris Andreas ( Brenham ) solo HR and RBI single. Cory Benevidias (Friendswood) starting on the mound for AC in game # 2. Oops....I've been corrected. There was one double play. Thru 5 innings, Thamm allowed two hits and two walks. W/ the double play and pickoff, only faced two batters over the minimum thru 5 complete innings.
