Miller Aldridge ( A & M Consolidated ) 1.66 IP, 1K, 1BB, 0 runs, to earn the save Chris Andreas ( Brenham ) solo HR and RBI single. Cory Benevidias (Friendswood) starting on the mound for AC in game # 2.
  2. Gil Staubaum-Barbers Hill 402-188 68%
  3. I heard through the rumor mill ( take it for what its worth ) that he has to have surgery and with rehab and all he won't be ready for anything until next Baseball season..... which means we will loose him for football also.... but again that is off the rumor mill..... I may have to slip by a inside sources house with 12 of my closest cold friends to get good information.... I spoke with his Dad yesterday. Still waiting on MRI. It's possible that surgery will not be necessary.
  4. Well said. Just curious...what about the Purke kid from Klein I mentioned earlier ? Any chance @ AA ?
  5. Thanks. I spoke to his Dad yesterday. I was wondering where ya'll where getting info. about surgery. It's very possible that surgery might not even be needed. Regardless, I'm hoping Trae recovers quickly. Very talented ball player.
  6. My bad. The kid you are talking about is just a sophmore, I believe. Heck of a player.
  7. Nice job. It would be nice of you to sweep Paris and NE for your friends @ Angelina. ;D Did you receive my e-mail ? I forwarded your name/number to a coach about summer ball. He should be giving you a call. Just another option. Yes sir i got the e-mail will try our best to sweep them up for ya.... I'll be watching. ;D
  8. BobCat Is there anything that shows what spot you would be in if you are District Champ Runner up 3 hole 4 hole Mustang, w- is for winner of district R- is for runner up t- is for third place f--is for fourth place.
  9. Hicks could pitch also probably Nathan from WB Felts, the homerun hitter from PNG to name a few ok maybe I got a little carried away Matthew Purke, lefthander from Klein might be able to throw in AA right now. I cannot think of anyone else. Hicks is a great pitcher, great athlete for that matter but remember he is throwing in AAA high school ball. Felts, great hitter that's also in AAA high school ball......from Orangefield not PNG. It's sad that the 'Stros are so bad that we even have a "tongue-in-cheek" thread such as this.

  11. my thoughts too! Just plan it from the get go. This does affect softball more than baseball it seems. At a 5A school, this type of thing would never happen. I know that schools want to "maximize" their athletes , but sometimes you have to make choices in life. My son would love to run hurdles in track, but you only have so much of yourself to give to your sport. To think that you can just "show up" at a track meet and compete at a high level is just crazy. Actually, I've seen many talented athletes over the years "just show up" at a track meet and compete at a high level. All of them were blessed with great speed.
  12. After watching yesterday's game/debacle against the lowly Pirates................I change my mind.
  13. We did not play great but we got the win. That's all that matters " A win is a win ", "second is the first loser" Who pitched, who hit, and who caught ? Where's Rip ? GO EAGLES !
  14. Going to be a very long season for Astro fans..........myself included. >
  15. ......and it's why they are paid the big $$$$$$$. never say never, I say never, also. No way. MLB dominates ground zero...batter's box/strike zone. Never.
  16. geedad, No hate here...... "JR" is actually a BH grad...I'm Falcon at heart...which leaves me...well, a Falcon....'82. Seriously, CV very solid this year.....plus there's the revenge factor. Hey, besides there's 3 more spots...#'s 2-3-4. ;D ;D ;D
  17. Thanks. The Hill in a slugfest. Padgett leadoff HR, Ponder, Carmona also w/ HR's. Jay Burditt w/ a gran slam.
  18. Dayton wins landslide with walk off triple by walters 11-1! Smesney pitched complete game with one earned run. Congrats to the Broncos...huge win for you guys. Broncs are back in it.
