  1. The man upstairs is correct. Why else would the sun set Burnt Orange ? ;D
  2. I coached little league all the way through and never had a kid hit more than .500 and every year had guys presenting kids with the .600 and above averages that might have had 15 at bats against my team and never had a base hit. It always amazed me how guys came up with their averages. I actually did coach a kid one year.....14-year old who played league ball because he was cut from the freshman high school team...hit a legtimate .651 for the season............oh, and he pitched also. I used to cringe when I heard the LL scoring a routine pop fly to the OF a hit beacuse the outfielder didn't touch it. ???
  3. Man, I totally forgot about Baker....big, strong kid. I pm'd another poster about him. Baker has been very effective in the early going.
  4. Pitching was only a question because of what ya'll lost. I've been around Peterson for years...no surprise that he can throw....possibly the best slider that I've seen...."JR's" in '07 weren't too shabby either , Burditt...hardest worker around...Burditt threw a masterpiece against a 21-yr old Texas Ranger select team one summer, showed me all I need to know..No surprise there. Mitchell, Daniel, it's been years, I saw Daniel as a 80-pound, 10-year old dominate. He's been under the radar. Rocha...what 6'4" ? If someone gets Rocha throwing downhill, BH will play a #4 seed in the opening round. Just Eagle's 2 cents. well said little room for showing your talent last year next up GCM will face the 280 # (polar bear) The IUCN Polar Bear Specialist Group reclassified the polar bear as a vulnerable species on the IUCN's Red List of Endangered Species at their most recent meeting (Seattle, 2005). On May 14, 2008, the U.S. Department of the Interior reclassified the polar bear as a Threatened Species under the Endangered Species Act, citing concerns about sea ice loss. Canada and Russia list the polar bear as a species of concern. Are telling me that BH has to forfeit all games in which "the polar bear" throws ? Freakin' IUCN !!!! hey eagle... you forgot a pitcher... one of the top 3 actually I'm a year removed, somewhat out of the loop, if you will. Who's 4....In district s/b fine w/ 3. BTW, I don't consider Carmona a pitcher...too valuable at ss ( although he'd make a good one).
  5. Very good matchup...@ Dayton or Crosby ? May have to go see that one...Baseball junkie

  16. I think most realize that this district is much more competitive this year....and anyone can be beat. I.E. CE King was beating BH 8-3 before falling 11-8. BH beat GP 6-5...with GP's tying run tripping around 3rd base.
