  1. Rambleonus... I gotta call you out....I can't hold off any longer. ;D KP is very young and has no 80+ pitchers...so you say/said.. KP is good...very good. If ya'll were going to "sand bag " early.....should've lost more ball games. In no particular order...Crosby, KP, BH, and Goose Creek are going to make this district very interesting.
  2. I wish I could've seen this one....what a gem. Congrats to Hicks and the Cards. Tough loss for the Bears.
  3. Final score....CV 3 Westbrook 1 Larry Rodriguez -Okla St. ( 5 1/3 IP ) and Lance Wheeler--Angelina ( 2 1/3 IP ) combine on a 1-hitter....an infield single. Leon Whitmire 3-3 for CV. Svoboda did not throw for Westbrook. Did not get name of the kid who threw for the Brook.....kid threw an oustanding game. IMO, these are the top 2 teams in 21-5A.
  4. This should be a great game. I would suspect Svoboda (San Jac) for WB and Lance Wheeler ( Angelina ) for CV. CV has a pretty solid squad this year w/ Wheeler and Larry 'Boo' Rodriquez ( Oklahoma St. ) leading the way. WB 4 CV 2
  5. Hmmm the loss of my brain cells is directly related to the late 60s n early 70s, BTW Eagle you ever check on the memorial @ Roadrunner park??...WW LOL...Just a little communication blip between "JR" and I. ;D What would I do w/out Bears ? 643....I am going to check it out today. ....put it down on my to-do-list.... BTW, I have suspended myself with pay until I can get my info. correct. Bears...call me for updates... Later....leaving for AC. ;D
  6. The conference double header between Paris and Angelina was originally scheduled for this Wed, March 11th @ Paris. Due to negative weather forecasts, the series has been rescheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday, March 9th. Game #1 starter for AC--Kendall Thamm ( Barbers Hill ) game #2 starter for AC--Cory Benevidias ( Friendswood ) I had to help my BH friend the chemicals are killing brain cells......Bears
  7. HOOK 'EM HORNS ! Who are the Horns' 3 losses to ? I thought they only have 1 loss....this past Saturday against Stanford.
  8. Depends on which BH team shows up.....PNG for that matter also. Hard to get a good read on these two early in the season. I'll go with BH in a close one, 7-5.

  11. NC Blow U Memphis Wake surprise---Mizzou
  12. Harris Co. isn't any better......sign of the times. sad.
  13. Thanks. I have an extra bounce in my step...must be baseball season. ;D ;D ;D
  14. Westside graduated both of their aces from last year, Taylor Wall ( Rice) and Michael Goodnight ( Houston ).
  15. Congrats to Ross and the Hales family.....and the Ags, there I said it. ;D ( That's for HornDawg ). I know that was more for Ross, but wow, but that's a big step for a horn to talk positive about the Ags How's everything going at Angelina? Is Eagle jr getting some good playing time? I'm working on it, Horndawg. ;D You should have seen me Saturday night @ Minute Maid......surrounded by a sea of Maroon. ;D Everything at Angelina is great. AC finished up pre-conference play yesterday against Cedar Valley. Finished non-conference 14-9, after starting 1-5. "JR" has already thrown 30 innings ( 5 starts and an inning in relief ).... 3-1 on the year. Coach named him one of the home starters for conference....6 of 7 of the games are on Saturdays. That's great news...I'll get to see every game he throws this year. That sea of maroon was a beautiful thing wasn't it? ;D As far as Jr, congrats on his behalf. Sounds like he's doing well and making a name for himself. It's great you'll get to watch most all of his conference games. I'm sure you'll be able to keep the stats updated so we can keep up with the progress correct? I know you have thusfar, just making sure there'd be no slacking up as the season gets into full swing. Beautiful....might be somewhat of a stretch....lol. Seriously, the Aggie turnout and fan support is incredible...they certainly make things interesting. Ross told 'JR' that the A&M coach was asking about him...........could you imagine that ??? ??? ??? I will certainly keep udates coming on 'JR' and his AC teamates.

  17. You got that right, RIP. Great kid and a great family. I was able to talk w/ Ross and his parents quite a bit Saturday night at Minute Maid. Ross is really enjoying being at Texas A & M. By the way, in the game against SFA he struck out the side in one inning on nine pitches. I've only seen that done one other time....by Ross @ Barbers Hill. Congrats to Ross and the Hales family.....and the Ags, there I said it. ;D ( That's for HornDawg ). I ran across an old picture I have...think I'll hang on to it. The picture is of Ross Hales ( Texas A & M ), Kendall Thamm ( Angelina ) , Hunter Silva ( San Jac ), and Hunter Cervenka ( minor league ) posing at an 11-year old baseball camp together. Good stuff !
  18. From what I've seen and/or heard from kids at 3 different schools, I'd say about 10% of those in the top sports...i.e. baseball, football, basketball, and softball.
  19. LOL....actually I work for a private firm...we are in great shape. STORK, FEATHERS, and BIRD..um ???
