  1. LOL...I think maybe it's the sunburn I got. ;D I was hoping you or BEARS would help me out here. Feel free to add or modify at anytime. Moss looked excellent. I would imagine that he has moved into one of the 4 starter spots. Rackel, Thamm, Benevideas, and Moss.
  2. Angelina sweeps Wharton, 11-4 and 10-8. AC now 12-9 on the season w/ 2 games on Wednesday against Cedar Valley. Conference play starts @ Paris on Wed. 3//11/09. Game 1 --- Kendall Thamm ( Barbers Hill ) gets the win, now 3-1 on the season. 6 IP, 4 Runs ( 2 earned ), 6 hits, 7 K's, 5 BB's. John Gacke ( Deer Park ) closes the 7th. Jake Rowell ( LCM ) 3-run double. Kenny Allison ( Beaumont Central ) 3-run HR. Game 2 ---Miller Aldrich ( A&M Consolidated ) gets the start for AC. Logan Moss ( Cy-Fair ) 3+ innings of middle relief to get the win. John Gacke ( Deer Park ) closes the 7th. Roadrunners score 5 runs in the 5th and 6th innings to get the come from behind win.
  3. I agree w/ McLovin, Horns have looked really strong in the early going. Aggies are loaded w/ pitching. I see it coming down to these two. HOOK 'EM.
  4. the reason for this whole thing was extreme overconfidence before the game not only towards the weakness of the Columbus team but also the fact that the wind was blowing out the whole night therefore making BH hitters think of only one thing... home run, not to mention a few mental and physical errors committed. But this is not the same team as last year and one dissapointing loss is not goin to break this team up... as ive said before this team is what every high school team should be, a group of great friends playing baseball together, so all you nay sayers stick around because BH has a lot of ball yet to be played Who are the nay sayers ? snoop doggy dog... btw what kind of screen name is that?? ??? Forgot about Snoop. If you go back and read all of snoop's posts, you'll find snoop's opinion meaningless.

  6. Locally Dayton and Crosby have looked strong. Nederland has looked solid at times. Barbers Hill looks solid, ignoring their meltdown against Columbus. Region III 4A, Brenham and Lamar Consolidated look like the teams to beat. Brenham, although young, looked to be loaded again. They swept the Round Rock tournament.
  7. New Caney has looked very strong in the early going.
  8. Ryan Berry for Rice was sensational...allowing only 2 singles...one of them in the ninth. The earlier game was also very good....as Baylor defeated UCLA, 5-1. The game featured UCLA's freshman phenom, Garret Cole on the mound. His 1st two pitches were clocked at 99. This kid was a 1st round draft pick of the NY Yankees and opted for school. He was at last year's World Wood Bat tournament and saw his draft stock soar as he threw @ 96-98 for 7 innings........w/ a lefthander's movement. He is rated as the #1 freshman college prospect.
  9. I.E. Ponder 3-run HR, Burditt 2 hits, Rocha 1-hitter, etc. Those would be stats.
  10. Do you have a secret crush on Rip09 or just have nothing better to do ???
  11. Keep on talking your smack...this BH team is alot better than most anticipated. BTW, who is your team ? Just want to make sure you're still on the forum after they face each other. ;D
  12. Angelina falls to Meridian, 15-3. Fortunately, I do not have any more details.
  13. Meridian up 8-3 in the 7th. Chase Barrera ( Barbers Hill ) in to pitch for Benevedias. Ryan Smith ( Ft. Bend Foster ) in for Barrera. Got to run...will try to post final tonight. Angelina will play doubleheader at Wharton on Monday. Kendall Thamm ( Barbers Hill ) will start on the mound in one of the games.
  14. Bottom of the 3rd...Angelina and Meridian tied @ 2 each. Cory Benevidias ( Friendswood ) pitching for Angelina. Kenny Allison ( Beaumont Central ) 2-run HR for the Roadrunners.
  15. Final score. Angelina wins 9-7. Angelina vs. Meridian, Miss. next. Meridian is ranked in the top 20.
  16. Angelina up 9-5 in the top of the 8th. (9 inning games ).
  17. Top of 4th, NE Oklahoma leads 4-3. Errors killing AC.
  18. Angelina vs. NE Oklahoma Jake Rowell (LCM) w/ RBI double in the first as Angelina goes on top 1-0. End of 1, NEO up 2-1. End of 2, tied up @ 2-2.
  19. Max Preps and the Houston Chronicle will have stats if coaches turn them in. Probably a little early in the season.
  20. Did you put in a call to the Baytown Sun to stop the presses? ??? Hey snoooopdog, you need to catch up with the times. There are multiple sources to look up game stats. You ever read a newspaper? I'm not sure how posting stats has anything to do with scouting, but I've never heard of a game plane prepared off of a stat sheet. Exactly how would you game plan off of my post about the kids? What are you going to do walk the entire BH team intentionally? You don't know kids tendencies or weaknesses without seeing them play. You don't know what or when they throw certain pitches, you don't know which pitches a hitter hits or what pitches they struggle with unless you watch them play. If you can game plan off of looking at stats on this post, your in the wrong business. Hey I have an idea, you can become a scout by looking at my posts! ;D ;D ;D I don't know....RIP. I think you've given enough that it's easy to see....if you throw it over the plate, BH will hit it. After reading your posts from the 2 games played yesterday, I think I could come up with a game plan.............forfeit. ;D
  21. I think the Rockets have a strong chance of advancing in the playoffs. This team is already starting to gel w/ the SHE-MAC situation resolved. Many people do not like the Alston trade. I do...Lowery is a true point guard...IMO. Go to stay healthy...especially the big guy.
  22. Nice job by the dogs. H Christian is loaded this year. Who pitched for Christian ? They have two 90+ pitchers. Congrats to Nederland.
