  1. Nice job, Eagles. This team can hit the ball thru out the entire lineup. When Burditt is on, he is going to be tough to beat.
  2. That's a solid win...Prestonwood usually has a very solid team. Congrats.
  3. Hey, Send me a PM also if you don't mind...I've been curious also...I was thinking maybe area code. I see the answer...can I go in and change your grades now. ;D
  4. I know it's coming...I'm just going to wait for someone else to bring it up. LOL...I sure thought about it....I'll wait for someone else. I think we are on the same page. ;D
  5. LaGrange will be salty and Columbus usually fields a solid squad. With the loss of last year's entire pitching staff, maybe coach is trying to get some confidence and momentum built up early in the season. Just my opinion. None in the top 10. Not sure if LaGrange is in top 20 or not.
  6. final score BH 10 Caldwell 0 Alex Rocha 5 IP, 1-hitter Jared Baker 1 IP Tony Carmona (ss) went 4-4. Jake Ponder walk-off 3-run HR to end the game. BH will play La Grange @ 7:00 tonight.
  7. BH up 7-0 after 5 1/2. Jake Ponder RBI on sac fly. BH also scores on a double steal of 2nd and home. Alex Rocha still throwing for the Eagles.
  8. BH leads 5-0 after 2 innings. Alex Rocha pitching for the Hill. Tony Carmona and Colby Henscey w/ RBI's in the 2nd for the Eagles.
  9. I dont know the first name but Dewey was the last name ...they would pitch him twice a week Andy Dewey. 2007 season.
  10. Barbers Hill leads Caldwell 3-0 after 1 inning. Alex Rocha, Heath Padgett, and Tony Carmona all w/ hits in the 1st. Ponder w/ an RBI on a fielder's choice.
  11. Barbers Hill plays Caldwell @ 1:00 today ( Thursday) in the Columbus tournament. Teams are BH, Caldwell, Rice Consolidated, LaGrange, George West, Columbus, Needville, and Reagan. Do not have actual tournament schedule.
  12. Cardinals, If you pull up Blinn's baseball site , they have box scores and play-by-play of all of their games. They have not updated yesterday's game against San Jac...who they beat 17-9. I went thru each game...looks like Broc Haymon hasn't pitch much as of yet. I saw he pitched a 1/3 of an inning against Temple in a closing role...getting a groundout on the only batter he faced. Also, threw 3 1/3 against North East. Oddly, it looks like Blinn's ace, Kendal Korbal hasn't been throwing much either. Makes you wonder if he is hurt. Hope this helps.
  13. I'll be there on Saturday for Baylor/UCLA and the night game between Rice/Texas A & M.
  14. Hey, 732166...when are ya'll going to play somebody Hey man i don't make the schedule i just play it..... but don't worry the Ponies are for real!.... ;D LOL...Nice answer. ;D
  15. understand completely and he may decide to go to a D-1 but just trying to give reasons why JUCO might be a better fit Many times players with a chance to be drafted in the next couple of years will head to a JUCO instead of D1 also if they have a better chance starting immediatly they'll play at a JUCO. On a lot of levels there are better players at the JUCO level people in baseball circles know about San Jac they are a powerhouse ranked 5th in the nation right now. If you go D1, you cannot be drated for 3 years or until you turn 21. Go to Juco, you can transfer to D1 after a year or two years. You can also be drafted after each year. You keep all of your options open each year. IMO, JUCO is made for baseball....especially for pitchers as Diamond-J stated. Obviously San Jac is a baseball powerhouse, year-in and year-out. My only concern w/ San Jac is that it is really easy to get lost in the mix as a pitcher. They are well known for "priming" pitchers ( for lack of a better term ) for a year before they transfer to Texas, Rice, or A&M. San Jac's ace this year, Jacob Cowan is an example of such. I'm fairly certain their # 2 guy, Davis Rollins fits into this category also. Obviously, if you go out and perform you will get mound time. Also, often times players who believe they may get drafted are advised to verbal/sign w/ a JUCO and a D1. It's common for players to do both.
  16. Hey, 732166...when are ya'll going to play somebody
  17. Way to go Hales. Ross gave up a solo HR to the 2nd batter after recording an out....then he had 4 2/3 innings of shutout baseball.
