  1. I agree. I got a chance to meet Kirby a few times during summer baseball. He's a good kid and just got caught up in the moment. His apology is sincere. Best of luck.
  2. Class 4A Region III Barbers Hill vs. Brenham Thursday, Nov. 6 @ 7:00 Cy Ranch High School Great matchup between two strong 4A squads Go Eagles !

  4. Way to go Eagles ! Good luck against Brenham.
  5. If any of you Bronco fans don't want Cody Green...will take him over at BH....and our QB ain't too bad.
  6. Yeah we're pretty obnoxious I would say. We've earned that right after just completing our first ever playoff season in the history of our school and having the looks of another playoff season this year. D-train steamin' along again... If that's the criteria, Dayton fans ought to be downright nasty. ;D
  7. Well, you are full of bad news...Hate to hear that about Todd. I did hear that Cox is transferring to Texas State. Thanks for the update.
  8. Good luck to the Barbers Hill Lady Eagles as they take on Beaumont Ozen in the 1st round.
  9. If Nederland beats Lumberton and Livingston beats Vidor, Dayton will play Lumberton in the first round of the playoffs. If Lumberton wins, they will play Crosby regardless of what Livingston does. If I'm Lumberton, I'm trying real hard to beat Nederland.
  10. I agree. However, I believe Lumberton will be in trouble trying to stop them even w/ a healthy Beard....and that's not a knock on Beard.
  11. The voice of reason on a bulletin board. That is almost as rare as snow in the Golden Triangle. Keep that up sox and we will kick you off of the board. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
  12. Dayton barely got by WALLER then took a beat DOWN from LAKE TRAVIS! So Dayton beat Waller and lost to the state champion ?
  13. I don't have a dog in this fight but do Dayton fans really give a rat's *censored* about last year's loss to Lumberton after the year they went on to have. IMO, there will be some crow to eat if Dayton and Lumberton matchup this year in the playoffs. Dayton will roll.
  14. I believe Fisher is working here in Houston in the petrochemical industry, the Patton's are red-shirted at U of H, and Sexton is walking on @ SFA.
  15. I think maybe the OU suckage has you a tad confused. Although I agree, they do suck.
  16. Before Don, it was McGallion; who took a lot of talent and absolutely wasted it. Before him it was Skidmore; good man and a good X&O's coach but didn't win except for two years when he had really good talent. Before Skidmore it was Hope; he had only two playoff years and never won a district championship, worked the players hard but his ego kept him from winning. Before Hope it was Edwards; didn't work the players at all, his philosophy was "when the lights come on BH comes to play"... had a couple of good years. Before Edwards it was Pudgy; won a State Championship and before him it was Gene Sharp who won a State Championship. So lets look at the records since Pudgy. Edwards- two winning seasons. Hope - two winning seasons. Skidmore - two winning seasons. McGallion - no winning seasons. Don Price - eight winning seasons, five of those going undefeated in regular season including the first year moving up to 4a. After graduating 33 seniors in 2006, missed the playoffs in 2007 by one bad call from a Ref against Smiley. 2008 team has faced more talent than the Eagles have ever played, with a team that is probably the slowest most nonathletic team BH has put on the field in many years...and has been just a few mistakes away from winning at least 3 more games. Since Don has been at BH, the Hill has won across the board, from football to track. I think he has a pretty respectable track record. So my Question is, what coaching program do you want to go back to? McGallion? Skidmore? Hope? Edwards? I know none of you mommies and daddies out there would want to go back to the Pudgy and especially the Gene Sharp years. Your poor little boy's couldn't handle the kind discipline and work ethic that Gene Sharp put the Eagles through. I know a lot of you move inn's won't know anything about those days. If you want to have your eye's opened, go talk to some the guy's like Randy Foster, Elmo Camp, Jabo Leonard, Kenneth Dosett, Jamie Horn, etc...etc, who played during those years. Ask them to tell you how Sharp worked the kids. What I'm getting at is, I don't think people around here would support another Gene Sharp type coach. So what your going to end up with is, one of these coaches that we had through the 80's and 90's, or a coach like Price that gets the most out of the talent that he puts on the field. I'm happy to continue with Price...I think he's done a great job, overall. Another thing moms and dads, how hard are your kids working? Are they spending time after school lifting, running, throwing and catching. Your kids can't show up for practise in Aug. and automatically win. It takes hard work all through the off season and in the summer, we don't have a Green or Dogat playing for us, our kids will have to work harder than the other teams. Then with all that work, sometime your skill doesn't match up with other teams, like against North Forest and Dayton, really everyone we've played this year. I know y'all won't believe this but, sometimes kids aren't putting in the work, that they tell you, they're putting in. We can't win with just 10 or 12 working hard all year and the rest just doing just enough to get by. Not trying to be a jerk, but parents you need to really make a honest assessment to the type of work ethic your kid is giving, and push them to work harder if it's needed, even if you hate the coach. I'll shut up now and wait for my butt chewing. No butt -chewing here...well said. I will say regading work ethic, my kid's a baseball player, not football, but I will put his work ethic up against anyone. You may know him, if so, I'm sure you'd agree.
  17. Ready for basketball ????? Be careful what you ask for. Ready for baseball....that's your/our best chance, however, all of the pitching is gone. See you at the volleyball playoffs, how did we fair in golf and tennis this year ?
  18. I agree Soulja...that was one of the cheapest techs I have ever seen...if Artest can keep his head on straight and Yao and McGrady can stay half way healthy (big if though), I think the Rockets can be serious contenders in the West. Totally agree...pathetic call on the tech. This Rockets team is loaded with talent and depth. With Brooks running the floor ( McGrady taking a rest ) in the fourth, they looked extremely good. I think the biggest thing that Artest brings ( and he brings alot ) to the team is the ability to get TMac more rest and Yao for that matter. Of course it's early, but to go to Dallas and win the way they did on a back-to-back says alot about the ability/potential of this team. Go Rockets !
  19. This game was televised in the Houston area. There were a ton of mistakes on both sides. Northshore was up 14-0 after running one offensive play. Listening to the annoucer, every SR starter on 'D' is a D1.....as are most of the juniors. NS defense is unbelievably quick and swarm to the football....very physical. Offensivley they can be stopped. However, if you miss a tackle, look out because they will be gone. B Westbrook certainly has there work cut out for them but it can be done. Must tackle well and don't give up big plays on special teams. NS returned 2 punts for TD's early in the game.
  20. I agree.....I was kinda leaning towards Tampa Bay but it was nice to see Lidge get a ring. True class act.
  21. That's good stuff...sounds like Weber was really bringing it.
  22. I think maybe the kicker/QB should have been a little more attention.
