Well let's see...I got my info. from nowhere. I didn't have a clue as to when Clay last threw, as I stated. As far as AJ25, on his post to me (dated July 8th), he states that Clay last threw 3 days ago. If he didn't throw on the 8th, 7th, or 6th...AJ25 must've been referring to the 5th. You state, rather proudly, that Clay threw on the 5th. Help me out here ??? ??? ??? [Hidden Content] second boxscore down. july 5h. three days from july 8th therefore, would have full 5 days of rest for start on friday AJ25 Figure this out, will he pitch on the 25th or 26th if he stays in rotation against the Yankees ? Russell Stockton, son of the late Bragg Stockton, has been named asst. coach @ the University of Houston. After spending the last ten years as head coach @ Texas A&M-Kingsville, Stockton returns to his alma mater where he played under his dad.

This school is located on Beltway 8 East, about 2-3 miles North of I-10....my neck of the woods. It is less than 5 miles from the new Atascocita(?) High School. Construction is well under way. This thing is going to be massive. Before too long, we are all going to feel like sardines packed tightly in a can.

man, you gotta learn how the system works clay threw 3 days ago, and with baseballs strict policy on a 25 man roster, why fill it with someone who can't play for the next 3 days? you call up an extra bat/extra arm for the pen. and send him back down once clay's start comes along. I got you. I did not check to see when Clay last pitched.

According to today's Houston Chronicle, Buchholz will have to wait a little longer. Reportedly, the Sox recalled 1B Jeff Bailey.

I would not trade Bourne either. He is very young and inexperienced. You have to move him out of the lead off spot for now. He has absolutely zero confidence at the plate. It may seem far-fetched but maybe send him down to AAA just to try and regain some confidence for short time period.

I agree. That's an excellent post by Ruckdad. The Astros are handcuffed.....and cannot do much for many reasons. As mentioned, the no-trade clauses are big. Inablilty to sign draft picks, when you actually had some, has decimated the minor league sytem for now. I believe it will take 3 or more years for the Astros to really get this thing turned around. :(

Maybe the 'Stros can trade for the same prospects and players they've traded away over the years. Last place....WOW !

I agree....Willy T wasn't the greatest, however, the Astros have been trying to replace him ever since he left. Hit .288 first two seasons. IMO the Astros gave up on him way too quickly. Bourne has been a huge disappointment, at least in the leadoff spot. To Bourne's credit, he hit much better when moved to the 7-hole ( raised his average about 25 points ). So what does Cooper do, yep move him back to the leadoff spot. ??? ??? ??? oh and lets think back to who we gave up willy t for, JASON JENNINGS! where is he this year? no one knows! willy t is just like kenny lofton, astros had them early on.. gave up on both of them too early. Good Lord...I forgot that Jennings was involved in that debacle. 'Nuff said.

Seriously, does it ruin your day to have this thread under High School. Adapt and overcome. The world is full of miserable things that happen each and every day. If this is the worst thing that happens today, what a great day it will be. This is my last post on this matter because I could really care less where this information is posted as long as it gets posted. I have alot bigger fish to fry. Have a great day everyone. I got a chance to see this kid pitch earlier this year against Rice @ Reckling Park. Pretty fascinating. Several questions came up among us in the stands....regarding certain rules, etc. If you go to the Ask Mr. UMP1 thread, you can view his answers.

Way to go Casey... Midland.......Has to be happy...they are quietly "capturing" some good ballplayers. The Z-merhal() kid from Waller.....is a very solid....good kid from a good family.....lots of upside.

Congrats to both of these young men. I've heard nothing but great things about both of them. Lott can't go wrong playing and working w/ McElroy. Chuck is a great pitching coach.
