  2. Guys I am the best Baptist of all but DBU? R u kidding me? Ha You're gonna have to outscore them to beat em. They can flat out mash the ball. You going to UH tonight ? I cannot make tonight's game...will be going tomorrow night.

  5. Way to go Casey. Best of luck from Barbers Hill. Watching you play last summer with the Houston Heat, I knew you had to land somewhere.

  7. Valid statement....hard to argue that.

  9. utguy Coaches from winning programs feel absolutley no pressure from parents to play the kids they play. You may think so, but you would be wrong. Coaches that win year in, year out, play the best kids with absolutly no regard for feelings on the other side of the fence. The only pressure they feel is the pressure to win. The pressure to win does not come from administration or AD, they couldn't care less. The pressure to win comes from within. Not necessarily...might just depend on who those parents are.
  10. Honestly...I can't answer your question....but if you think you have 6-7 quality pitchers on a 4A squad....I guess it depends on one's definition of "pitchers".
  11. Congrats to Roby. I've enjoyed the chances that I got to see him play the last two years.
  12. From what you tell me, I'm glad I missed it. Check your personal messages.
  13. fish eating guts?? I like it. Yea I called and there are seats but only if you want to fry. I had a chance to get seats last week under the awing but waited to late. Yea the LC vs Friendswood series starts this Thursday at UH may check that out. That's caviar my friends. Ha I am going to try to get some decent tickets but if I have to sit out in the sun not gonna happen. 07 I will call down tomorrow and if i do will call you later this week. Please do. Also, has the LC/Friendswood series been set yet ? This looks like the toughest regional to me....and with Texas, Rice, and Sam Houston you can bet on standing room only. Looks like ESPN for me. ;D I did see where the LC/Friendswood series starts Thursday...I am going to try and catch Thursday and Friday's games..I'll give you a call Thursday morning.

  16. ETBU, Not sure if I'll make that series or not......TBA ;D "JR" graduates this weekend. You going ? Maybe I need to clarify my statements....I intentionally did not include the LC parents. Ironically, at the PNG/LC games I attended, I spent the entire night conversing with 3 LC parents....who were great...really enjoyed the conversation. Made what I witnessed on the field even more surprising.
  17. You're killing me...go Ole Miss !!!! Locals in the regionals: Miami regional: West Brook's Tim Ferguson (Ole Miss) opens with Mizzou. Hosting is the #1 ranked team (Miami Hurricanes). Ferguson has won starting SS job for Rebels and is .290-3-23. Texas A&M regional: LCM's Clayton Ehlert (Texas A&M) as the Aggies host Houston, Dallas Bapt and Ill-Chicago. Tough regional as Aggies sluming at the end of the year, Houston just won CUSA tourney and Dallas Bapt is a potential surprise (2 wins this year vs. Rice and another vs. A&M). Ehlert is 6-2, 3.25 and should start one of regional games. West Brook grad David Murphy won't play as he continues his medical redshirt. UH freshman Chase Dempsay (Baytown Sterling) is the Cougar closer this year (6-3, .250 with 11 saves). LSU regional: BC's Johnny Dishon (LSU) claimed a national seed as the Tigers have now won 20 in a row. They host Southern Miss, New Orleans and Texas Southern. This regional has a lot of local flavor: Dishon (.239-1-10 but .318 in SEC conference play) along with Southern Miss's brotherly tandem from West Brook: James Ewing (.369-5-43, leading the Golden Eagles in hitting) and Michael Ewing (.200-10-22, 2nd on the team in HR) and UNO's Jake Henderson (Kelly) at 7-1, 3.99. At the Houston regional, hosted by Rice, Braeden Riley (Woodville) will represent our local Southland Conference for Sam Houston State. Braeden is .241-0-14 with 20 starts this year for the Bearkats. PNG grad Zac Harwood represents Rice. Harwood is 0-0 in limited action (2 appearances, 1 IP). Fun for all...especially me !!!! No doubt...enjoy MIF04. Congrats on Tim earning the starting ss job...very impressive. Good luck to both Ole Miss and LSU. Unfortunately, I have to stay true and pull for my Horns. It's been a strange year for the Horns to say the least.
  18. I'll take Calallen or Lake Travis. I said that not knowing who was left. Calallen and Travis have to play each other to see who goes to Austin right? I'm still taking LC, but your probably right. Correct.. My picks are self-motivated. I watched the PNG/LC series and have never seen such a lack of class by players and coaches on the LC side. Obviously, not all of their players, I know a couple of them and they are great kids. A couple of Brenham parents that I know told me the exact same thing regarding the Brenham/ LC series. My personal opinion is LC doesn't have the pitching depth to win it all.....Friendswood just might take them in a best of three. With that said, I give LC credit for talent...they may be the best hitting team in the state from top to bottom. Also, they are still playing and we (PNG/BH ) ain't. Just my two cents.
  19. YES HE IS. ALSO KELVIN THOMAS FROM CENTRAL Also, Barbers Hill pitcher Jonathan Kelley is going to Galveston College.
  20. I thought Angelina really turned it around the second half of the season. Overall a pretty good season. Some solid players coming in next year. Kendall Thamm (LH-pitcher ) Barbers Hill Kyle Crenshaw (1B) Brenham Todd Wallace © Beaumont Westbrook Ryan Smith (P) Ft. Bend Foster Tatum - Lufkin Scotty Johnson-Woodlands Park Just to name a few off "the top of my head ". Go Roadrunners !
